3 1/2 hours later

I started off my day about 3 1/2 hours ago and this is what I did. I washed the TL and I also spent a good time on cleaning the inside also the arm rest of the drivers side door had lots of flakes of black leather on the camel trim that I had to rub out for almost 1/2 hours. After I clean the car I swept and then vacuumed the entire house. Started a load of laundry and now I'm here. I need to fix some lunch that I will eat for my breakfast and then make dinner to take to work for my lunch/dinner. ehehhe. It's such a beautiful day out and I wish I had more time to plant and clean up the yard. I’ll save that for tomorrow.

Jazz Festival and Suns Ball Game

We just got home from the Ball game. We lost the game but it was a really close game. We started off the day by going to the Jazz festival and after that we headed over to the ball game to watch the Jacksonville Sons and this team from Alabama. I thought the high tech name badges for over 21 drinkers was a cool thing. I didn't drink, but I had to buy Rich a beer. We ate nachos and funnel cake while at the park. It was such a nice laid back and mellow day.

Mianna was giving Duke some love.

Duke's Owee

Duke hurt his foot and has been dropping blood all over the house. We have no idea how he did it. A few days ago he had a bloody nose and was dropping blood all over the house. Last night i heard a banging and Rich went in the kitchien to chatch him in the act, he was banging his head on the trash can trying to nock over the trash. BAD BOY.

Monitor

I think my monitor is going bad... all of a sudden it just stated blinking on me and turning dark all of a sudden. I'm not sure what is going on with it????? Do I need a new one already?

Clay County Fair

I took Mianna to the fair today. We didn't ride any rides, since she had gone on a few with her dad on Monday. I just wanted to go and pig out on junk food. We met up with Rich at a Mexican restaurant and after we that we came home to rest. I was so sleepy that I took a 2-hour nap and then I got up around 7 and we got to the fair by 8. I was supposed to meet up with Merranda and her family, but by the time we got to the fair and had called them, they had just got home. Today was her sons 5th B-day and so they took him to the fair. I called her and told her we were at the fair and that sorry we didn't get to meet up since I was dead sleepy. We ate funnel cake, dipping dots, corn and of course cotton candy. I took a few pics.

Sex Offenders/Predators

My friend Merranda came to work the other day and said she had researched the registored Offender in her neighbor hood and she has 6 within less than a mile from her residence. Another coworker said he printed all the people in his area and posted it around the neighborhood. ehehhe. People just have no business messing with kids or with adults for that matter, and I dont play when it comes to my child or any child for that matter. I found mug shots of the ones that are in our town and maybe I should search the next town over. We have had a few event in our area that have come just a little to close to home. but it's good to have a mug shot to keep an eye out for these crazy fools.

*GRANDMA'S CURES*

Keep this on the Fridge

Did You Know That? Drinking two glasses of Gatorade can relieve headache
pain almost immediately -- without the unpleasant side effects caused by
traditional "pain relievers."

Did you know that Colgate toothpaste makes an excellent salve for burns.

Before you head to the drugstore for a high-priced inhaler filled with
mysterious chemicals, try chewing on a couple of curiously strong Altoids
peppermints. They'll clear up your stuffed nose.

Achy muscles from a bout of the flu? Mix 1 Tablespoon of horseradish in 1
cup of olive oil. Let the mixture sit for 30 minutes, then apply it as a
massage oil, for instant relief for aching muscles.

Sore throat? Just mix 1/4 cup of vinegar with 1/4 cup of honey and take 1
tablespoon six times a day. The vinegar kills the bacteria.

Cure urinary tract infections with Alka-Seltzer. Just dissolve two tablets
in a glass of water and drink it at the onset of the symptoms.
Alka-Seltzer begins eliminating urinary tract infections almost instantly
-- even though the product was never been advertised for this use.

Honey remedy for skin blemishes... Cover the blemish with a dab of honey
and place a Band-Aid over it. Honey kills the bacteria, keeps the skin
sterile, and speeds healing. Works overnight.

Listerine therapy for toenail fungus... Get rid of unsightly toenail
fungus by soaking your toes in Listerine mouthwash. The powerful
antiseptic leaves your toenails looking healthy again.

Easy eyeglass protection... To prevent the screws in eyeglasses from
loosening, apply a small drop of Maybelline Crystal Clear nail polish to
the threads of the screws before tightening them.

Coca-Cola cure for rust... Forget those expensive rust removers. Just
saturate an abrasive sponge with Coca Cola and scrub the rust stain. The
phosphoric acid in the coke is what gets the job done.

Cleaning liquid that doubles as bug killer... If menacing bees, wasps,
hornets, or yellow jackets get in your home and you can't find the
insecticide, try a spray of Formula 409. Insects drop to the ground
instantly.

Smart splinter remover...just pour a drop of Elmer's Glue-All over the
splinter, let dry, and peel the dried glue off the skin. The splinter
sticks to the dried glue.

Hunt's tomato paste boil cure...cover the boil with Hunt's tomato paste as
a compress. The acids from the tomatoes soothe the pain and bring the boil
to a head.

Balm for broken blisters...To disinfect a broken blister, dab on a few
drops of Listerine... a powerful antiseptic.

Heinz vinegar to heal bruises .. Soak a cotton ball in white vinegar and
apply it to the bruise for 1 hour. The vinegar reduces the blueness and
speeds up the healing process.

Kills fleas instantly. Dawn dish washing liquid does the trick. Add a few
drops to your dog's bath and shampoo the animal thoroughly. Rinse well to
avoid skin irritations. Goodbye fleas.

Rainy day cure for dog odor... Next time your dog comes in from the rain,
simply wipe down the animal with Bounce or any dryer sheet, instantly
making your dog smell springtime fresh.

Eliminate ear mites... All it takes is a few drops of Wesson corn oil in
your cat's ear. Massage it in, then clean with a cotton ball. Repeat daily
for 3 days. The oil soothes the cat's skin, smothers the mites, and
accelerates healing.

Quaker Oats for fast pain relief....It's not for breakfast anymore! Mix 2
cups of Quaker Oats and 1 cup of water in a bowl and warm in the microwave
for 1 minute, cool slightly, and apply the mixture to your hands for
soothing relief from arthritis pain.

Limited Too

We got up early this mornig and I took Mianna shopping at the outlet mall. She got so many new outfits at such a good price. This makes it her 2 shopping spree and she almost owns the entire store. ehehhe. We got 10 bucks off every 20 we spend for our next trip back. She has 100 bucks in 10 bucks off tickets. This cycle is never ending We had such a fun time
shopping. I have to go work now. TTYAL

Budapest

I just spent the last few minutes cleaning my computer and and getting rid of spyware and adware. I only had 4 components found and then I seen a hacker tried to get into my system at 1am in the morning a fews days ago, and all the way from Budapest. Freaks. I just can't understand these computer geeks that sit up all night trying to hack into someone's system. Anyhow, I'm up early and getting my shopping game on this morning. I'm not actually shopping, but Mianna is ready to hit up limited Too with her Too bucks she earned the last shopping spree she had a few months ago. I'm hungry. Need to eat and then get ready for our adventure. I think we will head out to the outlet malls, and if not then head up to the new one in St. Johns. It all depends on if I can resist the shopping at St. Johns, it might be safer just to go the the outlet malls. :o). Darn. I don't have much money for a shopping spree for the both of us. I can actually fit the Jr stuff in her store, so I might just get away with a purchase today. Back in Fresno I actually bought a skirt from Limited too and it was a size 3Jr's. I'm just happy we got the TL to drive today. I love my new car. I also got the XM radio for 1 year ;o) love XM to death. Okay, I'm out.

Weeds B gone

The last two days we had lots of rain and so the earth is real soft and wet and made for a good thing when pulling weeds. I got down and dirty and cleaned up my yard. We plan to uproot some of our foliage and replant it in the back or on the side of the house and actually plant some new flowers and a palm tree or two in the front yard. We have to save up to buy the palm trees becaue it cost 700 bucks just for 1 and I think we want about 2 or 3.

Candle light

I got a little candle happy and ran all around the houe just sparking a candle here and there. I picked up a few candles in the commissary and they actually smell real good. The entire house is starting take on a wounderful candle lit smell. I'm finally using my firplace. eheheheh. I took a few pics to show you my candle display. Rich is bar be Qing and we are about to eat dinner. We had a supper lazy Saturday and have a few good movies to watch. See the fresh tuplips on the mantle ... I got them for Rich :o) for an early easter gift.

Tornado warnings

O my goodness guys, I'm laying in bed watching TV, when all of a sudden an alert comes on TV, to warn of us a tornado in central clay county. That is our county and one has been spotted on Kingsly, about 12 miles from here and it was heading east, towards the base. I called Rich to warn him because he is on base and will have to drive towards the area on his way home. It is raining like crazy and really bad wind, with thunder and lightning. The power keeps going on and off, and the thunder is making me a little scared. :o(. Mianna just ran in here, "mom I'm scared". I was like ME too! The thunder is so strong is shaking some of the house and windows. The crazy thing is that every once in awhile the rain and wind just stops and it's silent. My friend Merrands is from Oklahoma and she says, that's when you get scared, when all of a sudden it gets silent. O my god. Pray for us, I hope this weather stops!!!!

Okay so I'm up late because I can't sleep and I'm playing around with my
email and blogging from email. I got it to work and now I can start blogg
emailing from my cell phone or any place I like. LOL. I've developed this
blogging obsession. I just read and article in the paper all about blogging

Family left womans's remains on kitchen floor for 2 yesrs

WALNUT CREEK Calif.-
Kathleen Wilson lay on the kitchen floor of her Fairfield, Calif., home for nearly two years after she died, her son and husband stepping around the remains as they prepared meals and went on with daily life.
Fairfield police discovered the corpse and arrested her son, Jack Wilson 48, Friday afternoon on suspicion of elder abuse. A concerned neighbor had reported not seeing the elderly woman in about a year. Jack Wilson told police his mother had fallen in the kitchen sometime in the mid 2003 and she had remained there ever since, said Fairfield police Sgt. Mike Johnstone.
"He says he left her in the kitchen and tried to feed her and take car of her for a couple weeks before she died," Johnstone said.
Jack Wilson had been cooperative with the investigation. Police said he understood his mother was dead, but why he never tried to get her medical attention or report her death remains unclear. "He didn't have an answer for that," Johnstone said. Jack's father, Harry Wilson, 81, was taken into the care of Adult Protective Services. He returned home from a walk as officers were arresting his son and asked where his wife was, Johnstone said.
A county social worker went to the home for welfare check Friday after a neighbor anonymously called Solano County's Adult Protective Services tip line. The social worker called police after detecting a strange odor emanating from the residence, Johnstone said.
Police say the home was in disarray, littered with trash and cat feces from family pets. Kathleen Wilson's clothed remains lay uncovered on the kitchen floor.
"Harry and Jack lived there, they were at the house, they continued to use the kitchen, " Johnstone said.

1/2 Million houses

I have to tell you all about my different yet exciting morning. I was sitting here at the laptop like I am now at the nook table when I heard a knock on my door and could see from the chair I’m in that my neighbor Marylyn was at the door. She live 2 houses down from me and has had a for sale sign up in her yard since we moved in. I have spoke with her several times and met her while I was out walking Duke. I had invited her to my party on Friday but she didn't show. I answered the door and it was one of the first things she said to me. I’m sorry for not coming to your party but I was sick. She had a little scare at the Dr's office and though she was having liver problems, but it all turned out to be wrong and she is find. Anyways, she says to me, come on lets go get out I'm going to Home Depot, come with me and we will go. I put on my shoes and hopped in her brand new expedition with her. Nice ride. She has several nice cars in their driveway and also has a viper. Well she told me she had a few people come look at the house and this one black guy was real interested in it, so maybe he will buy it. I got to see her home and the pool in the backyard, man her house is so nice. wish I could buy it and move over there instead of this one. ehhehe. NOT. I love my home. I really do love our house. I just want her pool in my back yard and her Jacuzzi too. She spent 30,000 to have it put in and then 7000 on her fence and I like her fence too. We have similar taste. Anyways, I got to see the floor plan to her new home that is being built and it will be done by July. It's on the lake in Eagle Harbor and it's not too far down the street, back in Flemming Island. I fell in love with her property and the dock is almost down, so she can walk out on it and go fishing soon. The lady has some big bucks. She told me that she bought her house flat out cash and with no mortgage and she has no bills only her electric and phone and insurance... stuff like that. So it's no big deal if the house takes forever to sale because it's paid off and she has only lived in it for 1 year. She bough the house for 198 and is trying to sale it now for 285. I think she can get more for it ,but she is really not looking to make any money on it, just wants to sale it. She had a realtor and so if it sales she will pay the realtor 17000. I learned so much about her in such a short time and so you can tell she is a talker. We got along real well on our short 1 hour trip. while we were out at her water front property and she took me to a close by neighborhood to show me some more beautiful homes and I was just in awe with the places we seen, and then we stopped at this one venition looking house and John Long the builder of it was standing outside taking pictures. We got out the car and she knew him, so we got a tour or the house. This kitchen was pretty nice, with cabinetry that cost 50,000... O my god, this place had 23 or 24 foot ceilings and lots of windows and balconies and a bathroom in a really weird spot in the front of the house with a huge window, so you could see into it from the front of the house and I’m not joking it was so funny. we were busting up on how people will be able to look in on the guest bathroom from the front of the house. I'm not joking it was so funny. The colors of the walls were a brown and the color of the carpet almost matched and I thought it was all ugly. Mary didn't like it as well. The mast bathroom had a 2 way entrance 1/2 circle shower with 2 shower heads and body massager. o my goodness, spoiled. anyways. the house was pretty nice and about 2 1/2 times the size of mine, or maybe 3 times the size. Anyways, I got to thinking, this is just too nice and what and interesting day. When we got to Home Depot finally she picked up some seeds and then we headed back to the house. Come to find out that she is half Guamanian and Filipino and from Guam. She lived in Inarahan and her son that lives with her grew up on Guam. Too funny, I have a rich Guamania friend. She was saying how she is sad that we are friends now and she is leaving the neighborhood. I told her, STOP, your only moving down the street less than 5 miles and we can still be friends. I would like that, if I could come over and go boating and swim in the pool and all the privileges of having a rich friend. ehheheh. too funny. She was like Yeah, and your daughter can come over too and swim and we can take her fishing and all that. Anyways, she gave me some deer meat and I'm too exited to make my favorite dish with it and she also gave me some hot peppers. So that was the highlight of my day, hanging with the rich. Maybe I can pick up some pointer and someday have a water from home like hers. Anyway, I had a fun time.

New Shopping in Jaxs

I'm so excited about our newest shopping venue in Jackson. We drove out to St. Johns Town Center yesterday and it was just so huge. I really can't wait till it's all complete and my favorite store (BeBe) opens on May 15th. We drove out yesterday and the traffic was pretty bad but it was worth it. We had so many store to choose from and the first one we went into was Ross. This shopping venue is so easy to get to and it's just down the street from Costco. I make a trip to Costco about once every month or so and now I have even more reason to drop by and head on down the street to Ross. It's so nice to have most of my favorite stores here in Jaxs. All we need now is IKEA and Mervyns. LOL. I'll settle for just having Target, since it's the same company as Mervyns, but Ikea is a little bit far in Atlanta Ga, I believe. I can just shop online I guess. Anyways, the St. Johns Town Center has it all, they even have Sephora , Black/White House, PF Chang's (yes!!!!) and Cheesecake Factory (that reminds me of Vegas)There are so many stores I can't mention them all. Here is a link to all that St. Johns has to offer. I want to go back today if we can. LOL.
I found a cute table for my office. There is a furniture store there called
Bo, we didn't go in it, but we will when we go back. I checked out the online site and it reminds me of Ikea, so it's a good substitute. It has imports from all over the world. With my nook table from Thailand my benches from India, I'm really into the world traveled looked. :o).

Happy St. Patrick's Day

I'm so Irish..... My mom doesn't have to wear green today, she has green eyes.... I wish I had her eyes. I LOVE YOU mommy.

Kitchen Island

Yesterday I went shopping and bough Richie a kitchen island. He has always wanted an island and so we found the perfect one at the NEX. It's a little big for our kitchen, but I like that it has wheels so you can move it any place you like and it has a handy drawer for keeping knives and cutting boards and stuff like that. Tomorrow is my Pampered Chef party and Wendy will use this island to demonstrate her products. I will love this island for rolling out dough and chopping room for when we are all in the kitchen. I also picked up some new seat covers for the nook chairs.

Marble Slab Creamery

Last night Rich took us out for a treat to Marble Slab Creamery and we had some yum yummy treats. Mianna friend Jenny spent the night and so we treated her as well. She had a waffle cup with chocolate icecream and bubble gum mixed in. She liked it but the gum kept getting stuck in her teeth. I had chocolate amaretto with pistacio nuts mixed in. Rich had ordered vanilla with strawberry and pineapples mixed in. Mianna was a good girl and ordered fat free yogurt with rainbow sprinkles mixed in. We would have went out to watch Pacifier, but it started too late and so we went home and watched The Others on DVD. I'm at work now and just excited to get off and go enjoy the day. It's probaby nice and sunny with temps in the 70's.

Just in time for Easter

Friday was my day off and I spent all day running around to different furniture stores to look for a table for our nook. I just got more and more depressed as I went from store to store and couldn't find anything even close to what I had wanted from World Market. On Friday night I had pleaded with Rich to go back to World Market and get my table. He left and came back to tell me that he had sad new. He said that the tables had sold out and that they had to reorder and it would arrive in one week. I was okay with that, but a little sad =( and then he said he was just joking and to come help him bring the table in. Our friend Merranda had let us borrow her truck and so that was very easy for him to load it up and take it home. We spent some time putting together the 2 chairs and then on Saturday morning I got up early and put 2 chairs together on my own. Rich woke up just as I got started on the table. This table is solid wood and very heavy. I just love our new table. I made pancake for breakfast and it was so nice to have spot to sit and eat breakfast. I decorated the table for Easter and here are a few pics.

10 days till my party.

Hey guys my pampered chef party is in 10 days. If you would like to order online, you can visit this website and enter my first and last name as the host. I got my party planner to change the spelling on my first name so it's right now. Order by the 18th of this month...... :o) thanks guys.

Anger=No nook table

I guess yesterday Rich went down to the shop to check on the status of our nook table and in his words, " they gaffed us of for one week." and when he got there it was not put together and ready for pickup so he canceled it." I'm so sad!!!! I really was looking forward to getting the table before the party on the 18th and I thought it was a good price and would go perfect in that space. I don't know what to do. I might go down there and talk to the people and see why they have this bad business conduct. Rich must have been in a bad mood yesterday but now I have no table. :o(

Email from Erin

I finally got an e-mail from miss Erin in LA. She also sent some pics of her new pups. She had one that was older and looked just like the two here, but Red passed away last year. This is a piece of her letter

Here are the trouble-makers: Margo (left) and
Sophie (right).  They got into a purple boa and tore it to shreds.  They
got caught in the act, and this is them trying to look innocent.
However, they had feathers stuck in their mouths and their noses!  They
couldn't get the feathers out of their mouths at all!  It was hilarious,
like they were trying to get peanut butter out of their mouths...

Then, as you can see, they can be sleeping beauties.

The other pict is of me at our New Years company party.

Miss you!

Lots of Love,
Erin

Talked to Davina

My cousin Davina out in Arizona called yesterday. We were at Dicks Wings when she called to chat. I did try calling her from the car on Saterday and I guess she seen my # on the caller ID. Everyone is doing good in AZ and they are expecting a visitor soon. Rons dad will be in town for 2 weeks. There dog Mya had 10 puppies last week some time and they are saving one for us. I think we will get a blondie. I sure miss my family in AZ. I love you all if you happen to be reading this. Big hugs and kisses

Table

Our nook table should be ready today. I hope Rich gets a chance to pick it up and finds someone to help him load and unload this solid wood table. I'm so excited. This morning Rich woke me up and asked if I would be so happy to come home from work tonight and see my table in it's place. I answered yes in my half sleep, with a smile on my face. I need to sweep up the floors and get that area ready just incase. Mianna did a find job of sweeping and moping yesterday, but this floor needs to be swept everyday. I better get to steppin.

Computer Desk

I have been shoping around for a computer desk for some time now and just today I was looking at the staples add in the sunday paper. I like all 3 desks.I just can't make up my mind on what to get and where to put it????? I also like a few I seen at Target and one at Office Depot.. We are also looking at a bar table and some stools for in our formal living room. We are turning that room into an adult sitting/drinking/relaxing room. Here is another cute desk for the guest bedroom =). I've always wanted an compuer armoire. Okay, I've had enough "windows shopping" I'm off to bed. My bloggs really help me to remember what i've been looking at. :o) Night guys

Back to nature

Today I got off work at 3 and it was so nice to actually do some thing on a Sunday in the daylight. I usually get off at 9:30 on Sundays, but for the next few weeks I have this new schedule. We decided to go hiking/walking at Black Creek. We had a fun time and even took Duke with us. The weather was sunny with temps in the 70's. We took a few pics along the trip and after the walk we worked up an appetite for some Dick's wings.mmmmm. click title for more pics.

Outlet Shopping in the TL

We are so happy to finally have the car back. Friday we were told to pick the car up at the shop by 5:30, but around that time in FL, traveling anyplace close to or in the vicinity of downtown is like driving in SD or LA, traffic. We were on the Matthews Bridge and it was 5:56 we were nowhere close to Tom Bush. When we called in they said the shop closes at 6 and by this time it was 6. We got to the shop and Rich pointed it out to me, I told him to go and we can try. We got lucky because the they were just about to move our car back into the shop to lock it up and Rich was able to signal the guy down and the lady that takes the payments was still in the shop. We dropped off the rental and took off in the TL. eheheh. We decided to go out to dinner that night and celebrate, so we went to Carabbas down the street and then back home to relax. Yesterday we decided to head to St. Augustine and go shopping. We live about 20 miles from the Belz Outlet store and there are two buildings, one side has 95 stores, all out doors and the other side is all indoors, like a giant mall outlet. I had fun in BCBG and we found Miannas favorite store Limited Too ;o) I'll bring her back on Mar 28th to use her 2bucks. I also went shopping in Guess,Aeropostal and Coach!!!! I got yet another Coach wristlet.Rich found some pants in Nautica After shopping we drove to downtown St. Augustine and drove around just to listen to the DVD quality CD's we bought and enjoy the sun as we drove around with the sunroof open and Alicia keys singing in surround sound quality DVD. The TL has the best sound system on the market. The DVD quality CD's are very expensive at 18 bucks per CD, so we will only buy what we know is good and start a small collection for the car. We got to see Alicia keys in concert and she is one of our favorites so we had to get that CD. Rich also got Bob Marley but the format was all wrong for the car and so it wouldn't play. I think I accidentally tossed the receipt and so we are stuck with the CD. Maybe I can play it on the PC :0). I took a few pictures and since it's Bike week here in FL, there are many Harley Davidson’s on the road. After we left the beach area we drove toward home and stopped to eat crab at our favorite spot, Outback Crab Shack. I drove home and it was just so nice to relax in my heated seats and comfy temps all the way home. The blue tooth phone I got rich works, but it's really funky on how well it works. Overall we had a good day and today we plan on going hiking.

1975

We have been waiting for our TL to get out of the shop for over a week now. Yesterday Rich went down to the shop to take a good look at it and he said it looks good. We should pick the car up today and head out to celebrate. Our second car payment is on it's way and we havn't even been able to drive the car for a week yet. hehehee. The paint was real hard to match up, but they found and exact match that was used on a 1975 chevy back in the day. Interesting to think that cars were on the road in 1975 with our exact paint color. I'm off to go pick Mianna up from school. BYEEE

Special Order

We got our table on order :o) ehhehe. Richie went yesterday and he looked at the table and had to put in a special order for it and he also picked the chairs he liked. A few weeks ago we were in Pottery Barn and Rich seen some really nice looking leather chairs. The style is almost exactly like our Ikea chairs, except it is covered in leather. Here is a link to the Grayson chair on Pottery Barn. Well the chairs he picked is similar to that style but it's black leather and without the Pottery Barn price tag... our leather chairs were 100 bucks less and he picked 2 for the ends of the table. The other two are just the regular black woden chairs that match the table. I will put a cute seat cushion to match the window covering. Later on I'll buy two more chairs so we can seat a total of 6 and then get about 3 or 4 bar stool chairs. Richie surprised me and got 4 nice wine glasses. I'm just excited for the table to come and get it all set up. Happy Happy Happy...LOL

Need for Speed, G!

Get it? G? ehhehe
Last year I purchased this Sony Vaio notebook and didn't realize it was only running on 802.11b.............dumb but after I got my new G roughter last month, I realized it. Today I just upgraded to a G adapter and I'm such a nerd LOL I get a big kick out of messing with the computers in the house. My network is tighter than Fort knox. LOL , no, i'm just happy to be wirless and this 54 Mbps is NICE. I just got Richie a new cell phone today, and he has been wanting an update. I'm glad I waited just in time to get him a bluetooth enabled phone. The TL has bluetooth so he can use his phone wirless in the car. I might get him an earpiece later, so he can have that FBI look ehhehehe, or is it the Men In Black look. I like that look. Speaking of look, I need to go put my window covering in the nook and make space for the table.I believe Rich will go pick it up today. I'm so excited. This is the phone I got Richie. Talk to ya latter G. LOL

Nook table

I found a table for my nook. If it wasn't raining this past weekend we would have got it, but I hope to get it this week. It's the Hatton Antique Black
Extension Table. I'll probably get the same chairs to match the table. I have picked a very cute Waverley Curtain to go in the nook windows

Wedding /Bull ride

This past weekend was so much fun. It all started on Friday with my day off. Rich was asked to be the best man in Graig wedding and so he had to get a suit. I must say he found a really good looking suite. Friday night was the rehearsal and dinner. We had this private room at the steak restaurant but I forget the name of it. The food was soooooooooooooooo good and the garlic cheese bread was the BEST! The wedding was Saturday and on Friday Rich took me to the store to find a shall to go with my old Bebe dress. I found a really cute Kenneth Cole shawl, I didn't even know he made shawls. I have to down load the pictures later and put them up for you all to see. The funny thing that happened after the wedding was a cat ran in the church and was trying to run up the back wall in the church, he was about 3 feet in the air and just scared as heck. Some how they finally got him out, it was a good thing it happened after the ceremony and not during it. The reception was right on base at the O club and it was so nice. The colors were red white and blue. The girls and guys had on navy blue suits and dresses and they all looked so good. After the party we went home to take and nap so we would have some energy to take Graig brothers and relatives out that night and show them a good time in Jaxs. We ended up going to a sports bar to chit chat and have few appetizer. We then split the party up and 4 of us went over to Mardi Gras night club. Mardi Gras consist of about 4 different clubs on the inside and we headed straight to the country club in the back to ride the bull. YUP you heard me right, they have an electronic bull in the back of the room and we all got on it one by one. I was so scared, but they told the bull conductor to take it easy on me and not have me fall too hard. I had fun. When we first got there 2 girls were on the bull together facing one another and lets just say they had on tube top and halter top and I seen some sue sue when the girls top came off. ehehhehe. That was pretty funny. Rich didn't catch that one...Lets just say, I should have a picture that reads Richard heaves instead of Keanu Heaves. LOL> Rich had a bit too much fun. LOL. I don't drink anymore. I just can't take it AT All so I have given it up all together. I will have a glass of wine but only one or 2 and Im done. I would rather be the designated driver. It's too funny to think that I'm actually the driver when we go out, because I use to be such the drinker. I'm just getting too old for that stuff. The people we took out were from Michigan so it was a nice change of pace and weather for them. The weather was overcast and rainy here, but it sure was warm and in the 60's compared to the weather they came from in Michigan.

Keanu Heaves

Names have been changed

I just read a friends blog and If I were brave enough to do the same thing I would. LOL. I'm mad about few things and I would rather not mention any names to keep from pissing off a few people, but it's hard when you have no other outlet, but to hold it all in and stay upset. Today is my day off and I really don't want to do much. I feel like shopping and not cleaning. When I'm depressed, I don't eat...........I shop. I'm off to the shower and the stores open at 10. Hold me back, I'm bound to be out of control with my depressed shopping spree. If only the TL was out of the shop. :o( I miss our car.

garage

I swear... I hate moving and unpacking the most. My garage is so crowded with boxes and I need to start cleaning it out. Rich asked me yesterday if we could have it done by Friday or Sat. when the car gets back from the shop. I just feel like I do too much around this house and get no dam help. Just bull kaka. I don't want to do a thing. Anyways... let me take my grumpy butt to the garage and start on it. UGH>>>> hate it. I still have to put of curtains on the remaining 8 windows. ehehhe. I swear.... I need a maid.

Our New Acura TL

Anthracite Metallic for the exterior color
Camel leather for the interior

Boy do I have a story to tell. You wouldn’t believe it unless you were there, but it's a true story. It all started yesterday after Rich got off of work. We have been car shopping for months now and have test drove and seen so many different types of cars and SUV's. We decided to go to Atlantic Blvd yesterday and check out the Infinity FX35 I think it's called, but quickly changed our mind when we seen the Acura dealer not far down the street. Last week Rich took me to the Acura dealer here in Orange Park and I just fell in love with the TL. We were able to get a really good deal and Rich found the color he wanted on both the outside and inside. Yes we did it, we bough our new car. The TL is just so awesome, it has too many features to mention but if you go to the Acura website and click on the TL you will be able to watch a video on all the cool features it has. So last night on the way home Rich drove until we got to Mc Donald’s in Orange Park and I took over. We were heading to Wal-Mart when I was stopped at the red light behind Rich in the TL and this dang Taxi Cab ran in to the back of me. YUP .. I just couldn't believe how fast it had happen and that this guy had just hit our new car and we had only been driving it for less than an hour. The damage was not too bad and we should have it all squared away this week. We took the car back to the dealers today and they detailed it and cleaned it and also showed me how to work all the cool features.... as if I could remember..... NOT, but I have the quick guidebook to reference until I'm an expert at it. ehheheheh. Anyways the accident was not my fault and the taxi cabs insurance will pay for it all. The cops were called out and took the report and sighted the driver for following too closely. Anyways we are so happy we got our first dream car. Check out this site. Click on the interactive showroom I'll post more pics later on.

Formal Living

I did it! I put up the curtain rod and the curtains in the formal living room and it looks great. I had a little help with my new toy from Black and Decker. This thing has a layzer light and stud finder and it came in handy for making things straight. I used 4 tap top panels by Waverly and also the rod is by Waverly as well. I'm not sure if don't plan on keeping the stools there, I just wanted them in the pictures.

300

Okay 600 must be the majic shopping #. ehhehe. I found some of the window coverings, but not all. I will put up the formal living room today and then the bedroom windows for Mianna and the office. I still have to find a pole big enough for our 9 1/2 foot window in this family room. But I did find a cute candle holder and some awsome bench stools that Rich really liked. After shopping yesterday I went to pick Rich up from work and I had the Mazda jam packed with stuff. ehehhe. We drove over to the Jeep dealer to test drive the new Jeep Grand and we were NOT impressed at all. Then we got in the Chrysler 300 and MAN that thing is nice. We are leaving all our option open for what to buy. Mianna really wants an SUV and Im still up in the air but VERY much in LOVE with the Acura TL. This weekend I want to go test drive BMW,AUDI and Infinity. Rich promissed we will have our car by this weekend. I hope he keeps that promiss. I better call Home Depot and make and appointment to have the garange door opener put in. O guys, let me get to work so I can have time to take pics of the new window coverings and see if you all like it. LOL.

Window Coverings

I'm on a mission today. I have a few chores to run since I have the day off from having the flu. I need to use it as best I can to get my windows covered. I will hit up all the stores today. Lows, Home Depot, Target, Pier One and JCPenny. I feel much better, but Mianna is on a long road to recovery, since she has been fasting for over 3 days or more now. Yesterday she barely ate, I hope she gets some food in her today. My stomach is hungry and I'm able to hold down food with no problem, so I'm pretty normal now, but I do have this cough and nose thing that will not stop. I'm on mission to find the perfect window covering for all 9 of my windows in the house. YUP, NINE. I have one huge one in the family room that consist of 3 large windows all in one, so I just count it as one. Then the nook has 2 windows, plus a glass door, that I need to cover also. The formal living room is 2 windows together, so I count that as 1. My bedroom bay window is 1 window on each side and then 2 in the middle that I count as 1. Mianna has one window in her room and the guest/office room also had 1 window. I will have to try to make the hardware pretty consistent for the nook and family room. For the formal living room I'll do it up a little different and then real simple for the bedrooms. I'm planning on using velvet drapes in the family room and maybe some cafe style curtains in the nook OR, I might just use the same curtain as the family room but chop them in half and make my own cafe style... It just all depends on what I find. I will buy white curtains for the bedrooms. I want it real clean and simple not much fuss at all. If our windows weren't so big we would put up shutters. :o( but the is not an option with our windows. The family room window is taller than me and I'm 5'2".....LOL. Anyways, I better eat some thing now and get in the shower, so I have some time to get to the stores and look around. Not sure if Mianna is up to me dragging her with me, but I doubt she wants to stay home alone for a few hours, so I'll be dragging her. Last Sat, while I was sick, she drug me to Limited Too, so it's payback. She was able to stock up on 600 bucks worth of clothes and new pair of shoes and hair stuff. She is set for spring and just needs a few more pieces for summer. We made out with $300 worth of 2 bucks, so she can go back and buy another wardrobe for summer that will be worth 600 and only cost us 300 with the 1/2 off discount. YEAH baby. LOL. Shopping is the life. HEHEHEH. Only when we have money. LOL. Yo, it's payday today for Rich, let ago shopping and then I get paid tomorrow. LOL> more shopping. LOL> hehehe. I love shopping in FL. They have all my store, but NO IKEA. :o(

Stomach Flu

This morning Mianna and I had Dr. Appointments at 8:30 and 8:45. I was feeling pretty good when I got up at 5 to drop Rich off at work, but all I wanted to do was get back home and crawl in bed. I knew that if I had did that I would have been late to our appointments. I just fought my feeling to fall asleep and got ready to go. We were both diagnosed with the stomach flu and just told to drink lots of fluids and for Mianna to slowly start back on food, but first she has to see if she can hold down her liquids. Yesterday was really ruff on her since she couldn't even keep water down. Today she is doing much better with no major excretions, just a few bubbly noises from her tummy as well as mine. I stopped at Planet Smoothie to crab a few drinks, I know the sugar isn't any good for her, but there isn't that much in it and its actually natural sugar from the fruit. So far she is taking to the fruit and she is craving all kinds of food, but is scared to eat. I told her she could have breads and crackers and maybe some chicken soup tonight if she feels up to it. I was doing find when we go to the hospital, but all of a sudden I started to get dizzy and man I was just so darn dizzy I thought I was going to have to call Rich at work to come and take us home. But I got my ears flushed out and that made me feel better. still a little woozy, but I did have some blood work and urine done and they said they would call me with the results. I was a little pissed off when we first got to the hospital because they told me that I had no records and then later on the nurse that cleaned my ears asked my birth date and I she said they had me down as 8/3m, but my b-day is 8/2.... Stupid Navy hosp. Some times I just want to go some place where they can get their shit straight. Just pisses me off you know. Anyways, I'm off this computer to rest, I'm still a little fatigued and dizzy. Talk to you all later. PS. excuse my grammer and mistakes. I'm dizzy as I type this... so i'm some what blind as well..LOL

Mom Kim Max

Here is a picture of my mom, Kim and aunty Max last year around x-mas.

sick sick sick

Well guys, I was off on thur, Fri and sat. I thought I was feeling better on Sunday and so I went to work. That was a big mistake. I was so cold and had the chills all day. I got home last night and woke up this morning to find my T-shirt completely soaked. I had been sweating all night long and my hair was even wet. I had to get up and put on clean shirt. Mianna was in bed with us, and come to find out Rich said she was throwing up all night and has a fever. She has done this about 8 times today in less than 24 hours and has the runs. She refuses to eat and only sips water and says she is full. At about 11, she was in the living room assisting Duke because was throwing up. He touched his nose and its wet, but his body feels really warm. I think he has a fever and he is also sick. He had run out side 2 more times to get it out and he ate a little grass. It's just so crazy that we are all sick. I called Rich at work and gave him the update. I haven’t ate all day and I'm almost scared to eat because I'm the only one who hasn't thrown up yet, but I sure don't want to start. I'm actually not real hungry, but I will try to eat some chicken soup. I'm going to call the tricare nurse and see what they suggest I do for Mianna and my self. I called in sick for work today, but they told me that if I were off more than just today, I’d need a doctor’s note. That I just don't understand. Because I came in sick yesterday and today is only one day.. Usually you have to be gone 3 days before you need a doctor’s note. Whatever. Anyways. People are just dropping like flies at my job and I’m really starting to get sick of having to pull all the slack for people that are not there to fill in for the missing people. we have lost yet another working just yesterday I found out that Liesel is gone. That is my friend from Australia. I sure will miss working with her, but I will still keep in touch since I do have her cell number. Rich still has to clean up the apartment since we turn the keys in on Wed. I'll be so glad when we are done with that place for good. I have to pay some bills online and then make some soup to eat. I'll keep you all posted on our condition. I just home Richies body can hold out and not get sick till after we are well.

Home Sick

Yesterday morning I woke up with a heavy head, stuffy nose and 102 temp. The night before I got home from work and had a 99 temp and was feeling sick, but by morning I was full blown sick. Today is my normal day off and I wish I wasn't sick. I plan to sit here on the couch and just do nothing. I do need to get some food for the house and I should be cleaning my apartment, but I have no energy what so ever. I deserve a day to just vedge. Yesterday I made Rich take the car and go to work and forced Mianna to stay home with me. We sat up in bed and worked on her math problems. I think she has LCM and GCM or was it GCD down pack. LOL. Thank god I still remember how to do that stuff. I took Rich to work at 5 this morning and just got back from dropping Mianna off at school. I know she was so happy to have me home yesterday and to spend some time with me. I changed my work schedule for M-Thur. I will start working 3:30-11:30. The pickup for Rich will be a little hard on his schedule , but hey I still get up at 4 or 5 everyday with him to take him to work. The past week was so ruff with him having an audit at work and I had to take him in at 3 and 4am. I think that was when my body broke down and said.... NO MORE! I really want to buy the new car as soon as possible. We got our tax money and so we are trying to decide what we want to buy and I'm really in love with the Nissan Murano and the Pathfinder. We also liked the Toyota Sequa and Tundra. Rich really wants a truck and Im more for the SUV type or sports car LOL.... I'm feeling middle aged with the need for speed and luxury. I really don't want to have a big car payment since we just bough the new house, but a 400-500 car payment would be OK for us. We are so confused as to what we want. This morning Rich said he wanted a GMC ... I was like whatever.... That is not a reliable car brand. Sorry but I like to stick with the Japanese and assembled in Japan. I'm even a little skeptable about the Pathfinder because its not assembled in Japan, but I'm sure most of the parts are Japan made.

Spotted

Front Page of the FL Times Union.

"We've been greeted, we've been beaded, life is good," said Brad Molotsky, an Eagles fan from Cherry Hill, N.J.

The city still has three crucial days in the spotlight -- including Monday's expected mad rush on the airport -- but National Football League Commissioner Paul Tagliabue said in a Friday news conference that he thought Jacksonville would host another Super Bowl.

"My feeling is it will be back here at some point," Tagliabue said.

If it does come back, local officials may want to borrow from San Diego's playbook and really push the event to local residents. San Diego has three Super Bowls under its belt and saw a similar trend of locals bailing out during its first two games in 1988 and 1998 -- especially the first one.

Super Bowl Time

Yesterday we had such a fun and exciting day. We started the day with a little shopping at Stein Mart and then a few cups of coffee from starbucks, as we waited for Okinawa Japanese restaurants to open up at 5pm. We ate shrimp tempura for an appetizer and then had spicy tuna and regular tuna sushi. After all that good food we headed down town to catch the Super Bowl bash. We found some choice parking that was free and then headed to the landing. We stopped off at the landing to people watch and listen to the free music and watch a bikini contest. At about 9 we headed over to get some more good eats with our hotdogs and shrimp platter. Then off to the blue bridge to find a good spot to watch the fireworks that started at 10:15. I was trying to take a picture of it when my battery on my camera died and my back up battery was also dead. Anyways we had so much fun just hanging out with the crowd and snapping few shots. We did get to see this guy release himself from a chained up straight jacket and around the corner was the ESPN booth with Michael Ervin announcing live with the drop back of the landing. Click the title to see a few pics. We plan to head out to the NFL experience today.

Taxes

Okay I did our taxes and now we just have to wait and see if it was accepted by the IRS and then sit back and wait for our refund. This will be our best refund yet, thanks to the purchase of this house. LOL. I love my house. Let me go clean it. I still can't find my digital camera. :o(

Super Bowl Threat

Super Bowl xxx|x is here this year and this town is already getting crazy. Normal hotel prices have been raised as much as 5 times the normal price. We did not raise our prices and the lodge, but all of our lodges in FL are booke even as far as Keywest,Pesacola and GA. CRAZY. I'm ready for tall the parties. LOL.

Laptop

I forgot what it was like to sit in bed and check email. I'm actually doing my blogg as I sit here in bed waiting on Mianna to get ready for school. I have so much to do today on my 1 and only day off this week. Yesterday the cable guy come buy and put up anther outlet for me and I had him put it on the far wall by the fireplace and a little hight on the wall since we will put our flat screen tv there. LOL. I'm planning for the future. lol we also got another digital box for our bedroom so now we can watch on demand in our room and and the livingroom. Mianna has no box in her room but maybe she will get one later on. anyways, I have to drop off the bugg. I'll blogg later on. bye.

Start cleaning

Well guys, Mianna had her first sleep over last night and on a school night too. eheheh. Her friend Jenny really needed to use our computer and so she just came over after school and spent the night here. This morning I took them to school and then headed over to the apartment to start moving out more stuff. I just had a few breakables that I wanted to move over slowly and it looks like I might have to make one more trip and it will all be done and we can start cleaning. I hate this part of cleaning and this morning I was so irritated just thinking about it. Rich said he would clean tonight and I'll also do some on Friday my only day off. I'm working this Sat to cover one of the girls that took some time off. We are loosing yet another employee and will be so short handed. I'm thinking about changing my schedule and if I get to I'll be home more and making a little less pay. I have no idea what to do, but I do miss being home at night and it's just so hard when I'm up in the day and ready to work but I do love being home all day just able to decorate and clean up and run errands. I'm so back and forth when it comes to my schedule. I do love have free time in the day to do things, with less traffic and people out at the stores. Nights work for me, since I’m such a night owl. I have to talk it over with Rich some more and see if we can come up with a solution. LOL. Listen to me reasoning with my self on my blogg. This blogg has become real helpful with clearing my thoughts and remember what I have done in the past. LOL. Okay, so back to work for me, I’m working on taxes too. Trying to see if we will get a good refund and I hope to have it done today. Not to mention I still need to put away the stuff I took over from the apartment and look for my digital camera. My family and friends you know I miss and love you all, sorry for not calling and I promise to send some pics of the house. Talk to you all later.

Car shopping

We are still up in the air with what to buy, but we had so much fun on Friday when we test drove the Mazda 3, Nissan Murano and Nissan Pathfinder. I really liked the Mazda 3 it's so cute and it had both standard and automatic. But I fell in love with the Nissan Pathfinder. It is really big and of a lot of space for us, but I just love the 270 horsepower and it drives like a luxury car. O man I really want that one. Rich likes the smoky gray color and I like the pearl white or silver. But the price is a little bit high. If we get it without all the fancy stuff we could save so much. I'm not sure what we plan on doing but I think we will save up some and buy our new car by April. I think we will use the savings and tax money for a good down payment and get a lower monthly payment at a good interest rate. I want to save up at least 4 or 5 thousand by April will have to be pretty tight with our expenses these next few months and after Feb. no more payments to the apartment and that will help out big time. Feb first we have to pay rent and mortgage so we will have a pretty tight budget. Rich and Mianna went to the commissary yesterday and I must say it feels so good to have food in our new fridge. I'm having a technician come out tomorrow to fix the water dispenser in the door since it's not working properly. This fridge is so cool I love it. I kind of want a bigger one, so we have 30 days to keep shopping and decide on taking it back and trading it in for another. Our space can fit a much bigger side by side if we like. Anyways, I better get in the shower and get ready for work, I have to run to Comcast and the post office before work to make an address change.

Avenn

LOOK at AVENN he is so big now. I talk to Myke the other day and he is already walking =o) man they grow up too fast.

Kenmore Elite

We bought our fridge yesterday and will have it delivered some time between 4-7 today. I'm so excited to fill it with food and be able to cook again. We got it for less than 1000 at Sears Outlet in Mandarin. It has a little scratch but it is worth the savings of close to 300 bucks for that small scratch. The fridge is brand new with the Stainless Steel front and black on the sides. It will match our black front stove that is also a Kenmore. Ill post pics when we get it in today. LOL.

The Move

We did it!!!! It took us only 3 hours to move over the bulk of the stuff with 2 trips in the 14 ft Uhal truck.Rich had a friend from work come help at 3 and we finished by 6pm.We continued to pack up at the apartment until 10pm and then we were so pooped that we did the last trip this morning at 8 and turned the truck in at 11am. Rich and Mianna are back at the apartment taking car of some last minute stuff and washing the dog before they bring him over. I was just setting up the bathroom supplies and getting some things put away. The house is so full to the max with boxes and furniture just half scattered in spots. We should have it all set up and in place, within the week. Our new phone line is having some problems so I have to call Bellsouth and have them fix it. We got Comcast digital cable and cable for our computer and man it's so fast. I bought a PCI wireless card for Miannas computer and I installed in on my own and so now her PC is wireless. As soon as we get things set up and looking right I'll take some pics and post them. I better get back to work now before I get caught taking a break. LOL

Snoop Talk

Okay so I was checking out the Urban dictionar and there is no meaning for the word forshisal. LOL I belive it mean for sure. or for real. They did have a meaning for my nizzle. forshisal my nizzle dizzle. LOL> okay so I was listening to a new song on the radio by snoop and it's funny that here in FL they don't beeb parts of the song that I know they would in CA. I guess the FL radio sensor people have no clue what snoop is singing so they don't beep it. Anyways. here are some of the lyrics from the song and they play the real version here.

"Drop It Like It's Hot"
(feat. Pharrell Williams)

[Intro]
Snooooooooooop..
Snooooooooooop..

[Chorus - Snoop Dogg]
When the pimp's in the crib ma
Drop it like it's hot
Drop it like it's hot
Drop it like it's hot
When the pigs try to get at ya
Park it like it's hot
Park it like it's hot
Park it like it's hot
And if a nigga get a attitude
Pop it like it's hot
Pop it like it's hot
Pop it like it's hot
I got the rolly on my arm and I'm pouring Chandon
And I roll the best weed cause I got it going on

[Verse - Pharrell Williams]
Uh! I'm a nice dude, with some nice dreams
See these ice cubes, see these Ice Creams?
Eligible bachelor, million dollar boat
That's whiter than what's spilling down your throat
The Phantom, exterior like fish eggs
The interior like suicide wrist red
I can excercise you, this can be your Phys. Ed
Cheat on your man ma, that's how you get ahizzead
Killer wit the beat, I know killers in the street
Wit the steel that'll make you feel like Chinchilla in the heat
So don't try to run up on my ear talking all that raspy shit
Trying to ask me shit
When my niggaz fill ya vest they ain't gon pass me shit
You should think about it, take a second
Matter fact, you should take four B
And think before you fuck wit lil skateboard P

[Chorus]

[Verse - Snoop Dogg]
I'm a gangsta, but y'all knew that
Da Big Bo$$ Dogg, yeah I had to do that
I keep a blue flag hanging out my backside
But only on the left side, yeah that's the Crip side

[Chorus]

[Verse - Snoop Dogg]

On the TV screen and in the magazines
If you play me close, you're on a red beam
Oh you got a gun so you wanna pop back?

Subscribe nigga, get yo issue
Baby come close, let me see how you get loose!

[Chorus]

[Outro]
Snooooooooooop.
Snooooooooooop..

Freak Dancing

Read about the freak dancing in Lemoore, CA. LOL..... too funny... it was on the radio this morning here in FL, I guess it's making headline news. Incase you have been living under a rock for a few years you can check the meaning of freak dancing out in an urban dictionary. To me it the same thing as dirty dancing, maybe just a little bit more crazy for today. I did a google on freak dancing in Lemoore and it come up with more than one link.
Dances Cancelled in Lemoore

High schoolers 'freak' themselves out of a prom

January 11, 2005

LEMOORE, Calif. -- Fed up with students' racy moves, a principal has taken the unusual step of canceling the rest of this year's school dances.

Principal Jim Bennett of Lemoore Union High School said he warned students at a winter formal dance last month to either quit dirty dancing or face the possibility of not dancing at all.

But he said the students continued ''freak dancing,'' a form of sexually suggestive dancing.

The ban on dances includes the school's Sadie Hawkins dance in February and the junior and senior proms in the spring, but Bennett said they could be rescheduled if students modify their behavior.

Organizers of the Sadie Hawkins dance, a fund-raiser for the school's FFA Organization, formerly Future Farmers of America, are working with Bennett to come up with regulations, which could allow that dance to go on.

One idea is to let students sign a form stating that raunchy dancing will get them kicked out. Students hope regulations could lead to the reinstatement of dances.

''Some students save up all year to buy a dress or rent a tuxedo and buy flowers for the prom,'' said student body president Zohra Lakhani. ''To crush everyone's dreams, it's not fair.'' AP

Hybrid

I might have found the SUV that is perfect for us. We do love to travel by car and this new hybrid by Toyota can go up to 600 miles before it needs gas. Man, if I only had this car when we use to drive to SD from Lemoore. LOL. I'll just wait till spring to buy my new car. RICH>>>>>> I want that one. I don't know I'm still in love with the Infinity SUV and also the Nissan Murano. HELP> ehehhe. I could get a write off on my taxes if I buy the hybrid. LOL

Southern

Okay today I'm going nutts with all these callers calling in with some of the thickest southern accents I've ever heard and this one lady called in and all I could understand was cancelation. Most of the time my hair stands up when I hear a thick souther accent. I just can't stand the sound of it. HELP LOL.

Working Late

Okay it's Monday the worst day here at CRC and I'm working pass my normal scedual to cover someone who called in sick. It's a good thing I'm working with my good buddy Merranda. We get out of here at 11:30 and she is giving me a ride home. I will have to get up at 5am to take Rich to work and the later on I'll head over to the house since they will be painting our bar wall. Ugh it's only 10 and we have 1 1/2 hours to go. :o(

Jan. is hot

Yes we are blessed. This weather is nicer than San Diego it seems. eheheheh LOL.No, it's real similar to SD. We have had summer like temps for the past two weeks. I can get up at 5am and walk the dog in my tank top or t-shirt and NO jacket. Today I put on a tank top and really wanted to put on my flip flops, but I need a pedicure so bad. I'll have to get one if this weather keeps up with temps in the high 70's. The evening and morning have fog and it feels so strange to see fog in FL. When we were living in Lemoore there was no question we would see fog this time of the year and it was really thick and horrible fog. Well, I'm just feeling a little spoiled with such beautiful weather here almost in the middle of Jan and some people are knee deep in snow. Will I ever get a chance to use my fire place?? Mianna is eager to use the fireplace to roast marshmellows and I'm not real sure if we can do that. HELP???? Anyone? LOL.

Thick Shake

Thick shake or thin? Why you ask? My friend here at work is from Australia and she told me she was going to McDonald to buy a thick shake. In Australia they call milk shakes, thick shakes. I just think it's so funny. She also informed me that they call cookies biscuits and biscuits are called scones. LOL ehehhe. I can't wait to visit Australia one day. My friend Liesel has the cutes Australia accent and she says the cutest things.

Rent per day

I went into the office here at the apartment yesterday to find out how much rent we will have to pay in Feb. and they broke it down by the day. I don't know but it just sounds so much better to say we pay 43 buck a day instead of 1290 a month. That made me start to think, Hmmmmm. so we will be paying only 16 days in Feb. and Also we pay our first mortgage in Feb. We are just having to watch our funds until we are totally paid up and out of the apartment. I'm so so anxious for that day to come. I'm just a little worried about having to deal with pickup and drop off of Mianna to school. Looks like I'll have to come up with some thing quick to make it worth our while. I just don't want to have to change my work schedule since I really like the hours I have now. If have to pay for after school care again, I'll do it. It will be about 55 bucks a week. :o( sucks but we have no bus in our neighborhood and anyways she is out of the district to continue going to her school. I really don't want to change her out of schools so late in the year. Kids get so messed up when you do that to them and at her age it's a little harder since she has made such good friends. I'm already making a big sacrifice by working the hours I have now.I never get to be with my family on Sunday's and I also never eat dinner with them. I need to start looking around for a different job as soon as I can handle the travel with a reliable car and maybe I can have the weekends off. I'm just not sure how Ill be able to manage my schedule for now. I have always been there for my girl and now it's like I can't help her with school work or cook her dinner. I'm only there in the mornings. Okay so back to the subject of Rent per day. I just thought it was neat to figure out the price per day rather that the price per month. My superviser her at work has a granddaughter who live in some townhouses down the street from our neighborhood and she only pays 400 a month. They told me that it use to be military housing but it was remodeled and updated. The outside of the townhomes, look so much like the old housing in SD and Hawaii. The funny thing is that we thought it looked like military housing the first time we drove pass it. I can't believe rent on that townhouse in Green Cove is only 13.33 a day. wow. what a steal of a deal. I would never live in military housing again and it took me close to 15 years to figure that out.

Craigs List

I found this beautiful house for rent on Craigs List, I wonder who it belongs to????hmmmmmm LOL. I'm at work just goofing around and for some reason I decided to check craigs list to see what it had. LOL. I miss YOU all in SD.

Ice Box vs. Refrigerator

Okay I found an ice box I like. I remember when I was little and my dad use to get made at me for calling the refrigerator and ice box. I guess back in his day they really had ice boxes and in our day we have refrigerators. I do like this frige, I'll have to run down to the Sears Outlet and check it out.

New House smell

I'm still working on the move and it seems to be taking forever. Friday after Mianna got out of school we headed over to the house with a car load of stuff and we also took Duke with us. We gave Duke a shower outside in the backyard and so we wouldn't bring his stinky butt butt into the house and he was so excited. Duke ran around to every room and had to look out each window. His feet sound like high heels tapping on to the wood floors in the family room and kitchen. After unloading the car we took a much needed brake by just laying on the brand new carpet in the Office/guest bedroom. The smell of brand new house is much better than the smell of new car. We are shopping around for a new car now, but I'll give us till April to have it done and maybe a little sooner if we find a good deal. I think Rich has decided to buy a truck and so we will have lots of space to hall around things we might need for the house. The kitchen is almost completely moved over and I have more cabinet space than I thought.I will actually be able to fit all of my things and still have room to spare. I got liners for the cabinets and plan on lining every cabinet on monday, including the cabinets under the sink in both bathrooms. Monday I have to be at the house by 10 since they will be patching up the drywall at the bar area behind the sink. We are still shopping around for our refridgerator and I hope we find one by the end of the month. After this move I hope we stay put for the next 3 years and then maybe we will move again and buy another house.

Finally a Day Off

I'm trying to enjoy my day off and just catch up on some house chores, plus start moving over the kitchen to the new house. I wish I could just hire someone to do it all for me. I'm so lazy on my days off and I just feel like being a bum all day. I think I might go buy some paint and try painting my family room. I love that I have Fridays and Sat. off, it give me time to spend with Mianna and Rich. Rich works this weekend so we might not see much of him. Tonight I’m supposed to meet a group of girls from work for dinner and drinks at TGIF and then a movie. We will watch the new one that came out today called White Noise. It's suppose to be really scary. I'm looking forward to the movie but I'm a little skeptical because it's staring Michael Keaton and he is never in good movies. LOL, So far it got bad reviews but I never pay attention to that when I go watch a movie. I just like to go see if for myself and then decide. I better get back to work now, or else I'll sit here and blogg all day. I have lots of WORK TO DO. HELP!!!!!!!!

The Detective and Killer

When I got to work at 1:30 today there was so much laughter going on and smiling faces. I sat down only to find out that I was about to play a card came with the group and join in on the laughter. We were playing this real simple game of Detective and Killer. The cards are passed out to the group and with only one Ace and King card. The King is the killer and has to wink at the players they suspect are normal player. IF you get winked at and your not holding the Ace, you have to say I'm dead. The detective has to try and find out who the killer is by guessing or catching them in the act of the wink. It was just so much fun. soooooooo funny. We were still answering calls in-between the game, but we were having a blast and got in a little trouble. Try and guess who was laughing the loudest? LOL

Sleepless Night

Last night I was having a hard time falling asleep and when I finally got some shut eye, I started having the strangest dreams. Nothing made sense at all. I remember at one point I was trying to get a soda out of soda machine and it got stuck. At another point in this dream I was on a beach looking down into a little box in the sand that had tiny baby like hands sticking out of the sand clapping. I know I was on my way to Disneyland, but I only remember standing in a long line and never seemed to move. All of my surroundings in the dream seemed to be familiar and also the people but I have no idea who I was around after I woke up. I wonder if I can find out what it means to dream of hands in sand? Anyone? LOL

B&B for pets

This bed and breakfast is right next to our neighborhood. It's so cool that it's so convenient. We might have to take Duke there when we travel this summer. We have our regular kennel in Middleburg, but this one is much closer. This brand new kennel just opened up at the Jax's airport and that can be real convenient also.

75 and 79 IN JAN

We have had 3 days of beautiful weather and the forcast for the rest of the week will be in the hi 75 and by Tuesday it will be 79.........wow we might have to turn on the AC again. I just love the weather here. More and more I start to believe I will never want to leave Florida.

Green Cove Springs

Our new house is located in Green Cove Springs. It's just past Fleming Island and Martha's Walk. We can see the St. John River from Miannas bed room window.

Bye Bye X-Mas Tree

I just finished taking down the x-mas tree decorations and all the other accents I had up around the house. It took me almost 2 hours to do and Mianna helped me some. Rich will take the tree out to the trash now and then we can clean up the pines and have space again. We will need the room to start packing up our stuff to move to the house. I'll look into renting a truck for a day or two on the weekends. I want to try and have most of the stuff moved out by the 15th of this month and maybe start staying in the new house by the end of the month beginning of Feb. We will have so much more space. The apartment is 1423sf, and the lanai is 111sf. The new house is 2015 sf. Mianna's bedroom in the new house is 1 foot bigger, so she might not notice much of a difference in her space, but she has a window with view of the water, way in the distance. Our bedroom in the new house is much smaller then the one here in the apartment, but we will have less stuff in it, since we have such a big walk in closet. Mianna will probably take one of the dressers in my room and maybe the armoire also. I think we will all adjust nicely to the new house.

Seeing Orange

More on Color

Red is the highest arc and outer edge of the rainbow, as well as the longest wavelength of color.

Let's see how red, orange and yellow fit into the scheme of things.

RED

Red feels exciting. It is associated with power, passion, dominance, activity and heat. It represents youthfulness, impulse and intensity. Red is also a grounding color and can make you feel secure. It is associated with courtship and love. You've no doubt heard of "seeing the world through rose-colored glasses," meaning that everything seems fine when viewed through these magic lenses.

One medical study has gone so far as to suggest that chickens seeing red during the day are happier. And there's even a company that markets red contact lenses for chickens! Supposedly, these rose-colored glasses make them produce more eggs.

Then there's the evil twin of red, which can bring out rage, confrontation, fierceness, aggressiveness and bloody messes. But that bloodiness isn't always bad, because red can be connected to life and living, which we automatically associate with life-blood. In Christianity, for example, red stands for the blood of Christ. Red has been known to raise blood pressure. In casinos, red is widely used so that people will stay and continue to gamble, not realizing that time is flying by.

And red supposedly stimulates appetites so it is often used in restaurants.

It is also a color that demands attention. You see it in warning lights, fire engines and hydrants. Red is the highest arc and outer edge of the rainbow and the longest wavelength of color.

Red Decor : Red will wake up a room. It should be used as an accent in accessories, part of a pattern in upholstery or one impressive chair or bench. Red is a good color to have in a nursery because it stimulates and aids the development of neural connections in an infant's brain.

ORANGE

Feels citrus-y. You'd think orange would be comfortable in its own skin, but it's not. Actually orange has an identity crisis. It is always in second place right after red. Orange is the natural color of fire but red is the name used to symbolize it. Orange represents excitement and can be stimulating. It can make you feel like hurrying and that is why it's usually a color used in fast-food places and quick-mart-type stores. They want you in and out quickly, so the smart store designers use orange with the idea that it will facilitate that.

Orange Decor: Orange is good as an accent color coupled with brown or yellow. For use in a home, rust is the better shade as it is easier on the eye.

YELLOW

Yellow feels happy. But too much of a good thing can be bad. It's the most fatiguing color out there, especially pure, bright lemon yellow.

A yellow kitchen might look bright and cheerful, but be assured that there will be more arguing between cooks in this atmosphere. I imagine, too, that movie stars throw more tantrums in yellow dressing rooms.

Yellow should be treated like sunlight. You want it around for the happiness it produces but you don't want it to be overpowering. Soft yellow is pleasing. Bold yellow should be used as an accent. Other attributes include philosophical detachment, anticipation, hope and communication. It expresses activity and in some religions is associated with the deity.

Yellow is said to be a color that is admired by intellectuals, perhaps because is stimulates the memory. It is associated with enlightenment, both mental and spiritual.

A touch of yellow in every room might help in remembering where you left your keys, eyeglasses or the neighbor's phone number.

Yellow Decor: Yellow does well watered down greatly with white for walls. If a room receives little or no sunlight, the soft yellow walls help make the room bright. Yellow sings arias as a splash of accent in pillows, vases and other accessories. Yes, one grand chair or sofa upholstered in yellow and piped in blue can be smashing. Yellow also would be a good color for a workout room, particularly if aerobics were involved. It's also a good color for a game room, study or office because it helps to keep you attentive. A yellow bathroom will take the chill out of the air.

Orange is HOT

As most of you know by now I've been trying to pick a color to paint my family room and have my mind set on an Orange similar to that of terra cotta pot. I want the room to be light but slightly bright with a texture on the wall. I was just doing some reading online when I came across this article. I found it pretty interesting that there is a board of color experts that meet to decide on what the new color trend it going to be ... LOL. I have noticed that yellow and greens tamed down and orange had been popping up all over the place. I have always loved the color of orange because it reminds me of the sunset and that is one of my favorite times to look at the sky. I've always wanted to paint the Inside of my house green or yellow if I ever got the chance and I have that. I just thought it would be nice to do some research on paint colors and techniques till I decided on my final choice. I know its only paint and I can always change it, but I want to love it and leave it up for a few years or longer. Last night was a fun trial and error for us when we started painting Mianna's room. I get off work in 2 1/2 hours and I can't wait to go to the house and check out how the color in her room has dried and what it looks like in the day light. In the mean time I'll be checking out the Venetian plaster by BEHR. We used all BEHR paint for Mianna's room. Check out the website, they have this awesome tool to help you create a room. I also just purchase this online tool that also helps with room design, but I have yet to use with with my digital pics. I'll try to take more pictures of the house today. Soon Ill post more of my decorating ideas.

Our formal dining room

Our dining room I am still trying to come up the color for this room, but it will be the same as the formal living room. These are the first rooms you see as you walk in the front door. We will probably paint it last.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

We just watched the ball drop in New York (on tv of course) We should be there next year in 2006.
