Electrocution

O my goodness guys, I just got electrocuted. I’m still shook up from it and my right hand feels so weird and my fingers are still tingly. I was trying to unplug my digital camera battery charger and I accidentally touched the prongs with my
Clammy hands and that was when I got a strong jolt. I screamed and then fell into a chair near by. Mianna was in the room and she looked over at me and said, “ mom are you okay?” I ‘m fine now, but that sure was scary as hell.

Farts

O my goodness. I have proof that Duke ate the cookies, he is farting so bad and it smells like chocolate chip cookies. LOL. o my goodness. To bad there is no way to capture smell, or I would have an attachment to that. hehehehehe

Empty plate of cookies

Well, tonight I spent time with Mianna making Katie's Famous Cookies. While Hayleigh was here, she introduced us to her friend Katie’s famous cookies and man I’m so hooked on them. We didn't quite get the recipe the way we should have, but someone other than use, sure thought they were good and he has a full belly now. Can you guess whom I'm talking about? YUP, I left a paper plate of about 8 cookies on the table and I know I didn't eat them, and Rich went in the room to take and nap and Mianna is asleep. I found the paper plate on the floor by the coffee table and Mr. Duke is laying here with a big fat belly. O man, this boy must have eaten the entire plate of cookies. HEHHEEH. O man

Sailor of the month

Rich was chosen for sailor of the month and had to apear in front of a board of E9's tomorrow, so he is studying hard. here is he is in action.

Total lunar eclipse

Sad News

Well guys, I got the news last night at around 10:30 when I got off work. My aunty max had called and left a message to call her, and then she called again and left another message to call Davina. I knew what it was going to be, but I just didn't want to hear it. I called Davina and she told me to take a breath, right then I had said, NO, and then she said, grandpa had passed. I could tell in her voice that she had been crying and it took me awhile before I started up with the tears. My mom called and also left a message on my cell phone. By the time I got home it had really hit me, but this morning it's even more real. I just got off the phone with my grandma and she said that my grandpa had been doing well all day yesterday and had talked to many people and had several visitors. She says she is hanging in there and just trying not to have a panic attack. I'm not sure what I feel right now, just sad........... I broke the news to Mianna this morning in bed, and she was real good about it, she said, "mom at least he is not suffering now and he is in a better place." I will have to make several calls to the school and notify my work today. I'll be on a flight to CA as soon as I can. I'm not real sure if Rich will be able to go, but I don't know how I'll be able to do this without him. Man.... life can be so hard some times, but we all gotta go, when we gotta go. I love YOU grandpa!

Haunted Woods

Rich was apart of the Haunted Woods on base and he dressed up as a dracula and scared people from his cofin. I got off work at 7 and ran over to watch him in action and took a few shots. The Haunted Woods was set up by several vauleterrs and it's also a contest for 1, 2.3 to recieve money towards the MWR for those who place. First place wins 500 buck, 300 for second place and 200 for third place. I hope Rich places. Mianna also helped out on Friday and was dressed up as an old lady, popping out of a can I think. I was at work and so I missed it. She did say she had fun, but after 3 hours it took a toll on her legs and she has to take a break.

Whataburger

Yesterday Rich and I ate at this new burger joint around the corner from our house and it's called Whataburger. The burgers are really good and kind of remind me of In and Out in Cali. I also had a good chicken sandwich and this is the first burger place, where the bun is actually bigger than the burger. I love the sweet tea and the milk shakes too.We stopped at Whataburger just to get tea and chocolate milkshake. Tonight I cooked dinner. We really need to take a break from eating out, but it's so hard since we all work so late and have a million things to do and no time to cook. The day before we ate out at one of our favorite Japanese restaurants and had hibachi style filet mignon, fried rice. Mianna had some sushi and shrimp tempura.

A/B Honor Roll

Friday we were invited to Miannas School for her first semester awards of 6th grade. Rich and I were both able to attend and we are so proud of Mianna for getting A/B honor roll. Mianna was so proud of herself and I think she will continue to strive for the good grades throughout the year.

My new haircut

Last week I went to Mandarin to have my hair cut at The Studio by Robert. I love my new hair color and cut. This is not the best picture to show off the style and high lights, but this is what it looks like when it straight. I have many short layers that form a little bob on top and then long layers along the back and it's so much fun to style. When I wear it curly it looks pretty cute too. ehehheeh. Hope some of you like the new style. I do miss my longer hair, just a little bit. =)

Best Western

Last week this lady that worked at the Best Western Hotel outside the base, was shot and killed. It's such a sad thing to happen to this lady, she had 3 kids and her husband was just about to retire from the military.

This is my latest perfume and I just love it. I bough it on Monday and I love the cool atomizer bottle. I also got the lotion; I love the way it smells!!!!!!!!!!!!! Click the title to check out the site =) my usual heavenly by victorias secret ran out so I had to get some thing new to try.

RESURFACE PEEL

Today I used my new Lancome resurface peel on my face and it was pretty simple and painless. I only had a slight tingle and a real tight feeling as it dryed on my face. I'm taking before and after pictures. I'll do it twice a week and finish the 8 step process and then see how I like it. I was going to book an appointment at the spa, but I thought I would try this first and then if I really didn't like it, I could just book an appointment at the spa. Here is a link to Lancome

Hops

Today I had a fun day with Mianna. She has been home from school for the past 3 days, sick with a cold and I have the same symtoms as well. We did a little shopping and then had lunch at TGI Fridays. After lunch we decided to watch Sharks Tale and this would be the second time for Mianna since she seen it the day it opened and it would be my first time. I really liked it and though it had many cute and funny moments. I even got a little teary eyed at one point. Rich called in the middle of the movie and I had my cell phone set to vibrate, so he wanted to meet after the movie and take use to dinner. After the movie we ran in to Zales so I could get my ring inspected and cleaned and just browsed around at the Movado and coach watches. I think Rich has started me out on a coach fix and yesterday I was trying on Coach shoes at the NEX. Well anyways, after we left the mall we met up with Rich at home and headed out to find a place to eat. We had decided on steak and before we got to the restaurant we stopped at a make ship used car lot by the arched Mc Donald’s and shopped around for a car. We will need a newer can soon, since mine is having problems and his is probably not too far behind mine. Anyways, it's about time we got a newer car, since we have had our cars for over 10 and 12 years now and have a total of almost 400,000 miles. I just can't believe how many miles our cars have taken us over the past 10 years. Okay so I fell in love with one Lexus SUV, I have no idea what it's called and then we all fell in love with the Nissan Z. Mianna liked the red beetle. To think we will be buying her a car and that's just around the corner too. Okay, so back to dinner. We decided to try this place called Hops.
It's a casual dining microbrewery restaurant that offers fresh, made from scratch menu items in a relaxed atmosphere featuring signature dishes that are created from high-quality, fresh ingredients and prepared in a display style kitchen that allows you to view the cooking process. We complement the made-from-scratch food by offering hand-crafted, microbrewer beer, brewed in a glass encased brewery that separates the non-smoking dining room from the bar dining area.

Rich had on of the fresh brewed beers and I had a class Shiraz from Australia, and it was so good. Mianna opted for a sprite and really enjoyed that. Mianna was not too hungry so she just nipped at our plates. We had the seared ahi tuna for an appetizer and I had the 9oz top sirloin and rich had the rib eye steak. Every thing was so good and I told rich I don't want to go to Outback anymore. The table we sat at was just perfect and to top it all off our waiter gave us a free desert. We had the able pie with cinnamon flavored vanilla ice cream and it was sooooo good. The cinnamon ice cream was not too strong, and so it was just right. After dinner we headed home so rich could watch this new show he likes called Lost and I ran out with Mianna to Target to do more shopping. We have started our X-mas shopping already. I know Halloween is not here yet, but I’m excited for x-mas. Mianna was shopping for a Halloween costume all day and had no success. She really wants sexy punk pirate and so we were on the hunt for her costume. I might end up making her one. I will check out the dollar store and Joann’s tomorrow and get some ideas.

Sat. Night

We went out last Sat. night to Plush Leopard Lounge and had so much fun dancing the night away.
