Wedding /Bull ride
This past weekend was so much fun. It all started on Friday with my day off. Rich was asked to be the best man in Graig wedding and so he had to get a suit. I must say he found a really good looking suite. Friday night was the rehearsal and dinner. We had this private room at the steak restaurant but I forget the name of it. The food was soooooooooooooooo good and the garlic cheese bread was the BEST! The wedding was Saturday and on Friday Rich took me to the store to find a shall to go with my old Bebe dress. I found a really cute Kenneth Cole shawl, I didn't even know he made shawls. I have to down load the pictures later and put them up for you all to see. The funny thing that happened after the wedding was a cat ran in the church and was trying to run up the back wall in the church, he was about 3 feet in the air and just scared as heck. Some how they finally got him out, it was a good thing it happened after the ceremony and not during it. The reception was right on base at the O club and it was so nice. The colors were red white and blue. The girls and guys had on navy blue suits and dresses and they all looked so good. After the party we went home to take and nap so we would have some energy to take Graig brothers and relatives out that night and show them a good time in Jaxs. We ended up going to a sports bar to chit chat and have few appetizer. We then split the party up and 4 of us went over to Mardi Gras night club. Mardi Gras consist of about 4 different clubs on the inside and we headed straight to the country club in the back to ride the bull. YUP you heard me right, they have an electronic bull in the back of the room and we all got on it one by one. I was so scared, but they told the bull conductor to take it easy on me and not have me fall too hard. I had fun. When we first got there 2 girls were on the bull together facing one another and lets just say they had on tube top and halter top and I seen some sue sue when the girls top came off. ehehhehe. That was pretty funny. Rich didn't catch that one...Lets just say, I should have a picture that reads Richard heaves instead of Keanu Heaves. LOL> Rich had a bit too much fun. LOL. I don't drink anymore. I just can't take it AT All so I have given it up all together. I will have a glass of wine but only one or 2 and Im done. I would rather be the designated driver. It's too funny to think that I'm actually the driver when we go out, because I use to be such the drinker. I'm just getting too old for that stuff. The people we took out were from Michigan so it was a nice change of pace and weather for them. The weather was overcast and rainy here, but it sure was warm and in the 60's compared to the weather they came from in Michigan.

Names have been changed
I just read a friends blog and If I were brave enough to do the same thing I would. LOL. I'm mad about few things and I would rather not mention any names to keep from pissing off a few people, but it's hard when you have no other outlet, but to hold it all in and stay upset. Today is my day off and I really don't want to do much. I feel like shopping and not cleaning. When I'm depressed, I don't eat...........I shop. I'm off to the shower and the stores open at 10. Hold me back, I'm bound to be out of control with my depressed shopping spree. If only the TL was out of the shop. :o( I miss our car.

garage
I swear... I hate moving and unpacking the most. My garage is so crowded with boxes and I need to start cleaning it out. Rich asked me yesterday if we could have it done by Friday or Sat. when the car gets back from the shop. I just feel like I do too much around this house and get no dam help. Just bull kaka. I don't want to do a thing. Anyways... let me take my grumpy butt to the garage and start on it. UGH>>>> hate it. I still have to put of curtains on the remaining 8 windows. ehehhe. I swear.... I need a maid.

Our New Acura TL
Anthracite Metallic for the exterior color
Camel leather for the interior
Boy do I have a story to tell. You wouldn’t believe it unless you were there, but it's a true story. It all started yesterday after Rich got off of work. We have been car shopping for months now and have test drove and seen so many different types of cars and SUV's. We decided to go to Atlantic Blvd yesterday and check out the Infinity FX35 I think it's called, but quickly changed our mind when we seen the Acura dealer not far down the street. Last week Rich took me to the Acura dealer here in Orange Park and I just fell in love with the TL. We were able to get a really good deal and Rich found the color he wanted on both the outside and inside. Yes we did it, we bough our new car. The TL is just so awesome, it has too many features to mention but if you go to the Acura website and click on the TL you will be able to watch a video on all the cool features it has. So last night on the way home Rich drove until we got to Mc Donald’s in Orange Park and I took over. We were heading to Wal-Mart when I was stopped at the red light behind Rich in the TL and this dang Taxi Cab ran in to the back of me. YUP .. I just couldn't believe how fast it had happen and that this guy had just hit our new car and we had only been driving it for less than an hour. The damage was not too bad and we should have it all squared away this week. We took the car back to the dealers today and they detailed it and cleaned it and also showed me how to work all the cool features.... as if I could remember..... NOT, but I have the quick guidebook to reference until I'm an expert at it. ehheheheh. Anyways the accident was not my fault and the taxi cabs insurance will pay for it all. The cops were called out and took the report and sighted the driver for following too closely. Anyways we are so happy we got our first dream car. Check out this site. Click on the interactive showroom I'll post more pics later on.

Formal Living
I did it! I put up the curtain rod and the curtains in the formal living room and it looks great. I had a little help with my new toy from Black and Decker. This thing has a layzer light and stud finder and it came in handy for making things straight. I used 4 tap top panels by Waverly and also the rod is by Waverly as well. I'm not sure if don't plan on keeping the stools there, I just wanted them in the pictures.
300
Okay 600 must be the majic shopping #. ehhehe. I found some of the window coverings, but not all. I will put up the formal living room today and then the bedroom windows for Mianna and the office. I still have to find a pole big enough for our 9 1/2 foot window in this family room. But I did find a cute candle holder and some awsome bench stools that Rich really liked. After shopping yesterday I went to pick Rich up from work and I had the Mazda jam packed with stuff. ehehhe. We drove over to the Jeep dealer to test drive the new Jeep Grand and we were NOT impressed at all. Then we got in the Chrysler 300 and MAN that thing is nice. We are leaving all our option open for what to buy. Mianna really wants an SUV and Im still up in the air but VERY much in LOVE with the Acura TL. This weekend I want to go test drive BMW,AUDI and Infinity. Rich promissed we will have our car by this weekend. I hope he keeps that promiss. I better call Home Depot and make and appointment to have the garange door opener put in. O guys, let me get to work so I can have time to take pics of the new window coverings and see if you all like it. LOL.

Window Coverings
I'm on a mission today. I have a few chores to run since I have the day off from having the flu. I need to use it as best I can to get my windows covered. I will hit up all the stores today. Lows, Home Depot, Target, Pier One and JCPenny. I feel much better, but Mianna is on a long road to recovery, since she has been fasting for over 3 days or more now. Yesterday she barely ate, I hope she gets some food in her today. My stomach is hungry and I'm able to hold down food with no problem, so I'm pretty normal now, but I do have this cough and nose thing that will not stop. I'm on mission to find the perfect window covering for all 9 of my windows in the house. YUP, NINE. I have one huge one in the family room that consist of 3 large windows all in one, so I just count it as one. Then the nook has 2 windows, plus a glass door, that I need to cover also. The formal living room is 2 windows together, so I count that as 1. My bedroom bay window is 1 window on each side and then 2 in the middle that I count as 1. Mianna has one window in her room and the guest/office room also had 1 window. I will have to try to make the hardware pretty consistent for the nook and family room. For the formal living room I'll do it up a little different and then real simple for the bedrooms. I'm planning on using velvet drapes in the family room and maybe some cafe style curtains in the nook OR, I might just use the same curtain as the family room but chop them in half and make my own cafe style... It just all depends on what I find. I will buy white curtains for the bedrooms. I want it real clean and simple not much fuss at all. If our windows weren't so big we would put up shutters. :o( but the is not an option with our windows. The family room window is taller than me and I'm 5'2".....LOL. Anyways, I better eat some thing now and get in the shower, so I have some time to get to the stores and look around. Not sure if Mianna is up to me dragging her with me, but I doubt she wants to stay home alone for a few hours, so I'll be dragging her. Last Sat, while I was sick, she drug me to Limited Too, so it's payback. She was able to stock up on 600 bucks worth of clothes and new pair of shoes and hair stuff. She is set for spring and just needs a few more pieces for summer. We made out with $300 worth of 2 bucks, so she can go back and buy another wardrobe for summer that will be worth 600 and only cost us 300 with the 1/2 off discount. YEAH baby. LOL. Shopping is the life. HEHEHEH. Only when we have money. LOL. Yo, it's payday today for Rich, let ago shopping and then I get paid tomorrow. LOL> more shopping. LOL> hehehe. I love shopping in FL. They have all my store, but NO IKEA. :o(

Stomach Flu
This morning Mianna and I had Dr. Appointments at 8:30 and 8:45. I was feeling pretty good when I got up at 5 to drop Rich off at work, but all I wanted to do was get back home and crawl in bed. I knew that if I had did that I would have been late to our appointments. I just fought my feeling to fall asleep and got ready to go. We were both diagnosed with the stomach flu and just told to drink lots of fluids and for Mianna to slowly start back on food, but first she has to see if she can hold down her liquids. Yesterday was really ruff on her since she couldn't even keep water down. Today she is doing much better with no major excretions, just a few bubbly noises from her tummy as well as mine. I stopped at Planet Smoothie to crab a few drinks, I know the sugar isn't any good for her, but there isn't that much in it and its actually natural sugar from the fruit. So far she is taking to the fruit and she is craving all kinds of food, but is scared to eat. I told her she could have breads and crackers and maybe some chicken soup tonight if she feels up to it. I was doing find when we go to the hospital, but all of a sudden I started to get dizzy and man I was just so darn dizzy I thought I was going to have to call Rich at work to come and take us home. But I got my ears flushed out and that made me feel better. still a little woozy, but I did have some blood work and urine done and they said they would call me with the results. I was a little pissed off when we first got to the hospital because they told me that I had no records and then later on the nurse that cleaned my ears asked my birth date and I she said they had me down as 8/3m, but my b-day is 8/2.... Stupid Navy hosp. Some times I just want to go some place where they can get their shit straight. Just pisses me off you know. Anyways, I'm off this computer to rest, I'm still a little fatigued and dizzy. Talk to you all later. PS. excuse my grammer and mistakes. I'm dizzy as I type this... so i'm some what blind as well..LOL

sick sick sick
Well guys, I was off on thur, Fri and sat. I thought I was feeling better on Sunday and so I went to work. That was a big mistake. I was so cold and had the chills all day. I got home last night and woke up this morning to find my T-shirt completely soaked. I had been sweating all night long and my hair was even wet. I had to get up and put on clean shirt. Mianna was in bed with us, and come to find out Rich said she was throwing up all night and has a fever. She has done this about 8 times today in less than 24 hours and has the runs. She refuses to eat and only sips water and says she is full. At about 11, she was in the living room assisting Duke because was throwing up. He touched his nose and its wet, but his body feels really warm. I think he has a fever and he is also sick. He had run out side 2 more times to get it out and he ate a little grass. It's just so crazy that we are all sick. I called Rich at work and gave him the update. I haven’t ate all day and I'm almost scared to eat because I'm the only one who hasn't thrown up yet, but I sure don't want to start. I'm actually not real hungry, but I will try to eat some chicken soup. I'm going to call the tricare nurse and see what they suggest I do for Mianna and my self. I called in sick for work today, but they told me that if I were off more than just today, I’d need a doctor’s note. That I just don't understand. Because I came in sick yesterday and today is only one day.. Usually you have to be gone 3 days before you need a doctor’s note. Whatever. Anyways. People are just dropping like flies at my job and I’m really starting to get sick of having to pull all the slack for people that are not there to fill in for the missing people. we have lost yet another working just yesterday I found out that Liesel is gone. That is my friend from Australia. I sure will miss working with her, but I will still keep in touch since I do have her cell number. Rich still has to clean up the apartment since we turn the keys in on Wed. I'll be so glad when we are done with that place for good. I have to pay some bills online and then make some soup to eat. I'll keep you all posted on our condition. I just home Richies body can hold out and not get sick till after we are well.

Home Sick
Yesterday morning I woke up with a heavy head, stuffy nose and 102 temp. The night before I got home from work and had a 99 temp and was feeling sick, but by morning I was full blown sick. Today is my normal day off and I wish I wasn't sick. I plan to sit here on the couch and just do nothing. I do need to get some food for the house and I should be cleaning my apartment, but I have no energy what so ever. I deserve a day to just vedge. Yesterday I made Rich take the car and go to work and forced Mianna to stay home with me. We sat up in bed and worked on her math problems. I think she has LCM and GCM or was it GCD down pack. LOL. Thank god I still remember how to do that stuff. I took Rich to work at 5 this morning and just got back from dropping Mianna off at school. I know she was so happy to have me home yesterday and to spend some time with me. I changed my work schedule for M-Thur. I will start working 3:30-11:30. The pickup for Rich will be a little hard on his schedule , but hey I still get up at 4 or 5 everyday with him to take him to work. The past week was so ruff with him having an audit at work and I had to take him in at 3 and 4am. I think that was when my body broke down and said.... NO MORE! I really want to buy the new car as soon as possible. We got our tax money and so we are trying to decide what we want to buy and I'm really in love with the Nissan Murano and the Pathfinder. We also liked the Toyota Sequa and Tundra. Rich really wants a truck and Im more for the SUV type or sports car LOL.... I'm feeling middle aged with the need for speed and luxury. I really don't want to have a big car payment since we just bough the new house, but a 400-500 car payment would be OK for us. We are so confused as to what we want. This morning Rich said he wanted a GMC ... I was like whatever.... That is not a reliable car brand. Sorry but I like to stick with the Japanese and assembled in Japan. I'm even a little skeptable about the Pathfinder because its not assembled in Japan, but I'm sure most of the parts are Japan made.

Front Page of the FL Times Union.
"We've been greeted, we've been beaded, life is good," said Brad Molotsky, an Eagles fan from Cherry Hill, N.J.
The city still has three crucial days in the spotlight -- including Monday's expected mad rush on the airport -- but National Football League Commissioner Paul Tagliabue said in a Friday news conference that he thought Jacksonville would host another Super Bowl.
"My feeling is it will be back here at some point," Tagliabue said.
If it does come back, local officials may want to borrow from San Diego's playbook and really push the event to local residents. San Diego has three Super Bowls under its belt and saw a similar trend of locals bailing out during its first two games in 1988 and 1998 -- especially the first one.

Super Bowl Time
Yesterday we had such a fun and exciting day. We started the day with a little shopping at Stein Mart and then a few cups of coffee from starbucks, as we waited for Okinawa Japanese restaurants to open up at 5pm. We ate shrimp tempura for an appetizer and then had spicy tuna and regular tuna sushi. After all that good food we headed down town to catch the Super Bowl bash. We found some choice parking that was free and then headed to the landing. We stopped off at the landing to people watch and listen to the free music and watch a bikini contest. At about 9 we headed over to get some more good eats with our hotdogs and shrimp platter. Then off to the blue bridge to find a good spot to watch the fireworks that started at 10:15. I was trying to take a picture of it when my battery on my camera died and my back up battery was also dead. Anyways we had so much fun just hanging out with the crowd and snapping few shots. We did get to see this guy release himself from a chained up straight jacket and around the corner was the ESPN booth with Michael Ervin announcing live with the drop back of the landing. Click the title to see a few pics. We plan to head out to the NFL experience today.

Taxes
Okay I did our taxes and now we just have to wait and see if it was accepted by the IRS and then sit back and wait for our refund. This will be our best refund yet, thanks to the purchase of this house. LOL. I love my house. Let me go clean it. I still can't find my digital camera. :o(
Super Bowl Threat
Super Bowl xxx|x is here this year and this town is already getting crazy. Normal hotel prices have been raised as much as 5 times the normal price. We did not raise our prices and the lodge, but all of our lodges in FL are booke even as far as Keywest,Pesacola and GA. CRAZY. I'm ready for tall the parties. LOL.
Laptop
I forgot what it was like to sit in bed and check email. I'm actually doing my blogg as I sit here in bed waiting on Mianna to get ready for school. I have so much to do today on my 1 and only day off this week. Yesterday the cable guy come buy and put up anther outlet for me and I had him put it on the far wall by the fireplace and a little hight on the wall since we will put our flat screen tv there. LOL. I'm planning for the future. lol we also got another digital box for our bedroom so now we can watch on demand in our room and and the livingroom. Mianna has no box in her room but maybe she will get one later on. anyways, I have to drop off the bugg. I'll blogg later on. bye.

Start cleaning
Well guys, Mianna had her first sleep over last night and on a school night too. eheheh. Her friend Jenny really needed to use our computer and so she just came over after school and spent the night here. This morning I took them to school and then headed over to the apartment to start moving out more stuff. I just had a few breakables that I wanted to move over slowly and it looks like I might have to make one more trip and it will all be done and we can start cleaning. I hate this part of cleaning and this morning I was so irritated just thinking about it. Rich said he would clean tonight and I'll also do some on Friday my only day off. I'm working this Sat to cover one of the girls that took some time off. We are loosing yet another employee and will be so short handed. I'm thinking about changing my schedule and if I get to I'll be home more and making a little less pay. I have no idea what to do, but I do miss being home at night and it's just so hard when I'm up in the day and ready to work but I do love being home all day just able to decorate and clean up and run errands. I'm so back and forth when it comes to my schedule. I do love have free time in the day to do things, with less traffic and people out at the stores. Nights work for me, since I’m such a night owl. I have to talk it over with Rich some more and see if we can come up with a solution. LOL. Listen to me reasoning with my self on my blogg. This blogg has become real helpful with clearing my thoughts and remember what I have done in the past. LOL. Okay, so back to work for me, I’m working on taxes too. Trying to see if we will get a good refund and I hope to have it done today. Not to mention I still need to put away the stuff I took over from the apartment and look for my digital camera. My family and friends you know I miss and love you all, sorry for not calling and I promise to send some pics of the house. Talk to you all later.

Car shopping
We are still up in the air with what to buy, but we had so much fun on Friday when we test drove the Mazda 3, Nissan Murano and Nissan Pathfinder. I really liked the Mazda 3 it's so cute and it had both standard and automatic. But I fell in love with the Nissan Pathfinder. It is really big and of a lot of space for us, but I just love the 270 horsepower and it drives like a luxury car. O man I really want that one. Rich likes the smoky gray color and I like the pearl white or silver. But the price is a little bit high. If we get it without all the fancy stuff we could save so much. I'm not sure what we plan on doing but I think we will save up some and buy our new car by April. I think we will use the savings and tax money for a good down payment and get a lower monthly payment at a good interest rate. I want to save up at least 4 or 5 thousand by April will have to be pretty tight with our expenses these next few months and after Feb. no more payments to the apartment and that will help out big time. Feb first we have to pay rent and mortgage so we will have a pretty tight budget. Rich and Mianna went to the commissary yesterday and I must say it feels so good to have food in our new fridge. I'm having a technician come out tomorrow to fix the water dispenser in the door since it's not working properly. This fridge is so cool I love it. I kind of want a bigger one, so we have 30 days to keep shopping and decide on taking it back and trading it in for another. Our space can fit a much bigger side by side if we like. Anyways, I better get in the shower and get ready for work, I have to run to Comcast and the post office before work to make an address change.

Avenn
LOOK at AVENN he is so big now. I talk to Myke the other day and he is already walking =o) man they grow up too fast.
Kenmore Elite
We bought our fridge yesterday and will have it delivered some time between 4-7 today. I'm so excited to fill it with food and be able to cook again. We got it for less than 1000 at Sears Outlet in Mandarin. It has a little scratch but it is worth the savings of close to 300 bucks for that small scratch. The fridge is brand new with the Stainless Steel front and black on the sides. It will match our black front stove that is also a Kenmore. Ill post pics when we get it in today. LOL.

The Move
We did it!!!! It took us only 3 hours to move over the bulk of the stuff with 2 trips in the 14 ft Uhal truck.Rich had a friend from work come help at 3 and we finished by 6pm.We continued to pack up at the apartment until 10pm and then we were so pooped that we did the last trip this morning at 8 and turned the truck in at 11am. Rich and Mianna are back at the apartment taking car of some last minute stuff and washing the dog before they bring him over. I was just setting up the bathroom supplies and getting some things put away. The house is so full to the max with boxes and furniture just half scattered in spots. We should have it all set up and in place, within the week. Our new phone line is having some problems so I have to call Bellsouth and have them fix it. We got Comcast digital cable and cable for our computer and man it's so fast. I bought a PCI wireless card for Miannas computer and I installed in on my own and so now her PC is wireless. As soon as we get things set up and looking right I'll take some pics and post them. I better get back to work now before I get caught taking a break. LOL

Snoop Talk
Okay so I was checking out the Urban dictionar and there is no meaning for the word forshisal. LOL I belive it mean for sure. or for real. They did have a meaning for my nizzle. forshisal my nizzle dizzle. LOL> okay so I was listening to a new song on the radio by snoop and it's funny that here in FL they don't beeb parts of the song that I know they would in CA. I guess the FL radio sensor people have no clue what snoop is singing so they don't beep it. Anyways. here are some of the lyrics from the song and they play the real version here.
"Drop It Like It's Hot"
(feat. Pharrell Williams)
[Intro]
Snooooooooooop..
Snooooooooooop..
[Chorus - Snoop Dogg]
When the pimp's in the crib ma
Drop it like it's hot
Drop it like it's hot
Drop it like it's hot
When the pigs try to get at ya
Park it like it's hot
Park it like it's hot
Park it like it's hot
And if a nigga get a attitude
Pop it like it's hot
Pop it like it's hot
Pop it like it's hot
I got the rolly on my arm and I'm pouring Chandon
And I roll the best weed cause I got it going on
[Verse - Pharrell Williams]
Uh! I'm a nice dude, with some nice dreams
See these ice cubes, see these Ice Creams?
Eligible bachelor, million dollar boat
That's whiter than what's spilling down your throat
The Phantom, exterior like fish eggs
The interior like suicide wrist red
I can excercise you, this can be your Phys. Ed
Cheat on your man ma, that's how you get ahizzead
Killer wit the beat, I know killers in the street
Wit the steel that'll make you feel like Chinchilla in the heat
So don't try to run up on my ear talking all that raspy shit
Trying to ask me shit
When my niggaz fill ya vest they ain't gon pass me shit
You should think about it, take a second
Matter fact, you should take four B
And think before you fuck wit lil skateboard P
[Chorus]
[Verse - Snoop Dogg]
I'm a gangsta, but y'all knew that
Da Big Bo$$ Dogg, yeah I had to do that
I keep a blue flag hanging out my backside
But only on the left side, yeah that's the Crip side
Ain't no other way to play the game the way I play
I cut so much you thought I was a DJ
[scratches] "two!" - "one!" - "yep, three!"
S-N double O-P, D-O double G
I can't fake it, just break it, and when I take it
See I specialize in making all the girls get naked
So bring your friends, all of y'all come inside

Wit the steel that'll make you feel like Chinchilla in the heat

Trying to ask me shit
When my niggaz fill ya vest they ain't gon pass me shit
You should think about it, take a second
Matter fact, you should take four B
And think before you fuck wit lil skateboard P
[Chorus]
[Verse - Snoop Dogg]

Da Big Bo$$ Dogg, yeah I had to do that
I keep a blue flag hanging out my backside
But only on the left side, yeah that's the Crip side
Ain't no other way to play the game the way I play
I cut so much you thought I was a DJ
[scratches] "two!" - "one!" - "yep, three!"
S-N double O-P, D-O double G
I can't fake it, just break it, and when I take it
See I specialize in making all the girls get naked
So bring your friends, all of y'all come inside
We got a world premiere right here, now get live!

Freak Dancing
Read about the freak dancing in Lemoore, CA. LOL..... too funny... it was on the radio this morning here in FL, I guess it's making headline news. Incase you have been living under a rock for a few years you can check the meaning of freak dancing out in an urban dictionary. To me it the same thing as dirty dancing, maybe just a little bit more crazy for today. I did a google on freak dancing in Lemoore and it come up with more than one link.
Dances Cancelled in Lemoore
High schoolers 'freak' themselves out of a prom
January 11, 2005
LEMOORE, Calif. -- Fed up with students' racy moves, a principal has taken the unusual step of canceling the rest of this year's school dances.
Principal Jim Bennett of Lemoore Union High School said he warned students at a winter formal dance last month to either quit dirty dancing or face the possibility of not dancing at all.
But he said the students continued ''freak dancing,'' a form of sexually suggestive dancing.
The ban on dances includes the school's Sadie Hawkins dance in February and the junior and senior proms in the spring, but Bennett said they could be rescheduled if students modify their behavior.
Organizers of the Sadie Hawkins dance, a fund-raiser for the school's FFA Organization, formerly Future Farmers of America, are working with Bennett to come up with regulations, which could allow that dance to go on.
One idea is to let students sign a form stating that raunchy dancing will get them kicked out. Students hope regulations could lead to the reinstatement of dances.
''Some students save up all year to buy a dress or rent a tuxedo and buy flowers for the prom,'' said student body president Zohra Lakhani. ''To crush everyone's dreams, it's not fair.'' AP

Hybrid
I might have found the SUV that is perfect for us. We do love to travel by car and this new hybrid by Toyota can go up to 600 miles before it needs gas. Man, if I only had this car when we use to drive to SD from Lemoore. LOL. I'll just wait till spring to buy my new car. RICH>>>>>> I want that one. I don't know I'm still in love with the Infinity SUV and also the Nissan Murano. HELP> ehehhe. I could get a write off on my taxes if I buy the hybrid. LOL
Southern
Okay today I'm going nutts with all these callers calling in with some of the thickest southern accents I've ever heard and this one lady called in and all I could understand was cancelation. Most of the time my hair stands up when I hear a thick souther accent. I just can't stand the sound of it. HELP LOL.
Working Late
Okay it's Monday the worst day here at CRC and I'm working pass my normal scedual to cover someone who called in sick. It's a good thing I'm working with my good buddy Merranda. We get out of here at 11:30 and she is giving me a ride home. I will have to get up at 5am to take Rich to work and the later on I'll head over to the house since they will be painting our bar wall. Ugh it's only 10 and we have 1 1/2 hours to go. :o(
Jan. is hot
Yes we are blessed. This weather is nicer than San Diego it seems. eheheheh LOL.No, it's real similar to SD. We have had summer like temps for the past two weeks. I can get up at 5am and walk the dog in my tank top or t-shirt and NO jacket. Today I put on a tank top and really wanted to put on my flip flops, but I need a pedicure so bad. I'll have to get one if this weather keeps up with temps in the high 70's. The evening and morning have fog and it feels so strange to see fog in FL. When we were living in Lemoore there was no question we would see fog this time of the year and it was really thick and horrible fog. Well, I'm just feeling a little spoiled with such beautiful weather here almost in the middle of Jan and some people are knee deep in snow. Will I ever get a chance to use my fire place?? Mianna is eager to use the fireplace to roast marshmellows and I'm not real sure if we can do that. HELP???? Anyone? LOL.
Thick Shake
Thick shake or thin? Why you ask? My friend here at work is from Australia and she told me she was going to McDonald to buy a thick shake. In Australia they call milk shakes, thick shakes. I just think it's so funny. She also informed me that they call cookies biscuits and biscuits are called scones. LOL ehehhe. I can't wait to visit Australia one day. My friend Liesel has the cutes Australia accent and she says the cutest things.

Rent per day
I went into the office here at the apartment yesterday to find out how much rent we will have to pay in Feb. and they broke it down by the day. I don't know but it just sounds so much better to say we pay 43 buck a day instead of 1290 a month. That made me start to think, Hmmmmm. so we will be paying only 16 days in Feb. and Also we pay our first mortgage in Feb. We are just having to watch our funds until we are totally paid up and out of the apartment. I'm so so anxious for that day to come. I'm just a little worried about having to deal with pickup and drop off of Mianna to school. Looks like I'll have to come up with some thing quick to make it worth our while. I just don't want to have to change my work schedule since I really like the hours I have now. If have to pay for after school care again, I'll do it. It will be about 55 bucks a week. :o( sucks but we have no bus in our neighborhood and anyways she is out of the district to continue going to her school. I really don't want to change her out of schools so late in the year. Kids get so messed up when you do that to them and at her age it's a little harder since she has made such good friends. I'm already making a big sacrifice by working the hours I have now.I never get to be with my family on Sunday's and I also never eat dinner with them. I need to start looking around for a different job as soon as I can handle the travel with a reliable car and maybe I can have the weekends off. I'm just not sure how Ill be able to manage my schedule for now. I have always been there for my girl and now it's like I can't help her with school work or cook her dinner. I'm only there in the mornings. Okay so back to the subject of Rent per day. I just thought it was neat to figure out the price per day rather that the price per month. My superviser her at work has a granddaughter who live in some townhouses down the street from our neighborhood and she only pays 400 a month. They told me that it use to be military housing but it was remodeled and updated. The outside of the townhomes, look so much like the old housing in SD and Hawaii. The funny thing is that we thought it looked like military housing the first time we drove pass it. I can't believe rent on that townhouse in Green Cove is only 13.33 a day. wow. what a steal of a deal. I would never live in military housing again and it took me close to 15 years to figure that out.
Craigs List
I found this beautiful house for rent on Craigs List, I wonder who it belongs to????hmmmmmm LOL. I'm at work just goofing around and for some reason I decided to check craigs list to see what it had. LOL. I miss YOU all in SD.
Ice Box vs. Refrigerator
Okay I found an ice box I like. I remember when I was little and my dad use to get made at me for calling the refrigerator and ice box. I guess back in his day they really had ice boxes and in our day we have refrigerators. I do like this frige, I'll have to run down to the Sears Outlet and check it out.
New House smell
I'm still working on the move and it seems to be taking forever. Friday after Mianna got out of school we headed over to the house with a car load of stuff and we also took Duke with us. We gave Duke a shower outside in the backyard and so we wouldn't bring his stinky butt butt into the house and he was so excited. Duke ran around to every room and had to look out each window. His feet sound like high heels tapping on to the wood floors in the family room and kitchen. After unloading the car we took a much needed brake by just laying on the brand new carpet in the Office/guest bedroom. The smell of brand new house is much better than the smell of new car. We are shopping around for a new car now, but I'll give us till April to have it done and maybe a little sooner if we find a good deal. I think Rich has decided to buy a truck and so we will have lots of space to hall around things we might need for the house. The kitchen is almost completely moved over and I have more cabinet space than I thought.I will actually be able to fit all of my things and still have room to spare. I got liners for the cabinets and plan on lining every cabinet on monday, including the cabinets under the sink in both bathrooms. Monday I have to be at the house by 10 since they will be patching up the drywall at the bar area behind the sink. We are still shopping around for our refridgerator and I hope we find one by the end of the month. After this move I hope we stay put for the next 3 years and then maybe we will move again and buy another house.

Finally a Day Off
I'm trying to enjoy my day off and just catch up on some house chores, plus start moving over the kitchen to the new house. I wish I could just hire someone to do it all for me. I'm so lazy on my days off and I just feel like being a bum all day. I think I might go buy some paint and try painting my family room. I love that I have Fridays and Sat. off, it give me time to spend with Mianna and Rich. Rich works this weekend so we might not see much of him. Tonight I’m supposed to meet a group of girls from work for dinner and drinks at TGIF and then a movie. We will watch the new one that came out today called White Noise. It's suppose to be really scary. I'm looking forward to the movie but I'm a little skeptical because it's staring Michael Keaton and he is never in good movies. LOL, So far it got bad reviews but I never pay attention to that when I go watch a movie. I just like to go see if for myself and then decide. I better get back to work now, or else I'll sit here and blogg all day. I have lots of WORK TO DO. HELP!!!!!!!!

The Detective and Killer
When I got to work at 1:30 today there was so much laughter going on and smiling faces. I sat down only to find out that I was about to play a card came with the group and join in on the laughter. We were playing this real simple game of Detective and Killer. The cards are passed out to the group and with only one Ace and King card. The King is the killer and has to wink at the players they suspect are normal player. IF you get winked at and your not holding the Ace, you have to say I'm dead. The detective has to try and find out who the killer is by guessing or catching them in the act of the wink. It was just so much fun. soooooooo funny. We were still answering calls in-between the game, but we were having a blast and got in a little trouble. Try and guess who was laughing the loudest? LOL
Sleepless Night
Last night I was having a hard time falling asleep and when I finally got some shut eye, I started having the strangest dreams. Nothing made sense at all. I remember at one point I was trying to get a soda out of soda machine and it got stuck. At another point in this dream I was on a beach looking down into a little box in the sand that had tiny baby like hands sticking out of the sand clapping. I know I was on my way to Disneyland, but I only remember standing in a long line and never seemed to move. All of my surroundings in the dream seemed to be familiar and also the people but I have no idea who I was around after I woke up. I wonder if I can find out what it means to dream of hands in sand? Anyone? LOL

B&B for pets
This bed and breakfast is right next to our neighborhood. It's so cool that it's so convenient. We might have to take Duke there when we travel this summer. We have our regular kennel in Middleburg, but this one is much closer. This brand new kennel just opened up at the Jax's airport and that can be real convenient also.
75 and 79 IN JAN
We have had 3 days of beautiful weather and the forcast for the rest of the week will be in the hi 75 and by Tuesday it will be 79.........wow we might have to turn on the AC again. I just love the weather here. More and more I start to believe I will never want to leave Florida.
Green Cove Springs
Our new house is located in Green Cove Springs. It's just past Fleming Island and Martha's Walk. We can see the St. John River from Miannas bed room window.

Bye Bye X-Mas Tree
I just finished taking down the x-mas tree decorations and all the other accents I had up around the house. It took me almost 2 hours to do and Mianna helped me some. Rich will take the tree out to the trash now and then we can clean up the pines and have space again. We will need the room to start packing up our stuff to move to the house. I'll look into renting a truck for a day or two on the weekends. I want to try and have most of the stuff moved out by the 15th of this month and maybe start staying in the new house by the end of the month beginning of Feb. We will have so much more space. The apartment is 1423sf, and the lanai is 111sf. The new house is 2015 sf. Mianna's bedroom in the new house is 1 foot bigger, so she might not notice much of a difference in her space, but she has a window with view of the water, way in the distance. Our bedroom in the new house is much smaller then the one here in the apartment, but we will have less stuff in it, since we have such a big walk in closet. Mianna will probably take one of the dressers in my room and maybe the armoire also. I think we will all adjust nicely to the new house.
More on Color
Red is the highest arc and outer edge of the rainbow, as well as the longest wavelength of color.
Let's see how red, orange and yellow fit into the scheme of things.
RED
Red feels exciting. It is associated with power, passion, dominance, activity and heat. It represents youthfulness, impulse and intensity. Red is also a grounding color and can make you feel secure. It is associated with courtship and love. You've no doubt heard of "seeing the world through rose-colored glasses," meaning that everything seems fine when viewed through these magic lenses.
One medical study has gone so far as to suggest that chickens seeing red during the day are happier. And there's even a company that markets red contact lenses for chickens! Supposedly, these rose-colored glasses make them produce more eggs.
Then there's the evil twin of red, which can bring out rage, confrontation, fierceness, aggressiveness and bloody messes. But that bloodiness isn't always bad, because red can be connected to life and living, which we automatically associate with life-blood. In Christianity, for example, red stands for the blood of Christ. Red has been known to raise blood pressure. In casinos, red is widely used so that people will stay and continue to gamble, not realizing that time is flying by.
And red supposedly stimulates appetites so it is often used in restaurants.
It is also a color that demands attention. You see it in warning lights, fire engines and hydrants. Red is the highest arc and outer edge of the rainbow and the longest wavelength of color.
Red Decor : Red will wake up a room. It should be used as an accent in accessories, part of a pattern in upholstery or one impressive chair or bench. Red is a good color to have in a nursery because it stimulates and aids the development of neural connections in an infant's brain.
ORANGE
Feels citrus-y. You'd think orange would be comfortable in its own skin, but it's not. Actually orange has an identity crisis. It is always in second place right after red. Orange is the natural color of fire but red is the name used to symbolize it. Orange represents excitement and can be stimulating. It can make you feel like hurrying and that is why it's usually a color used in fast-food places and quick-mart-type stores. They want you in and out quickly, so the smart store designers use orange with the idea that it will facilitate that.
Orange Decor: Orange is good as an accent color coupled with brown or yellow. For use in a home, rust is the better shade as it is easier on the eye.
YELLOW
Yellow feels happy. But too much of a good thing can be bad. It's the most fatiguing color out there, especially pure, bright lemon yellow.
A yellow kitchen might look bright and cheerful, but be assured that there will be more arguing between cooks in this atmosphere. I imagine, too, that movie stars throw more tantrums in yellow dressing rooms.
Yellow should be treated like sunlight. You want it around for the happiness it produces but you don't want it to be overpowering. Soft yellow is pleasing. Bold yellow should be used as an accent. Other attributes include philosophical detachment, anticipation, hope and communication. It expresses activity and in some religions is associated with the deity.
Yellow is said to be a color that is admired by intellectuals, perhaps because is stimulates the memory. It is associated with enlightenment, both mental and spiritual.
A touch of yellow in every room might help in remembering where you left your keys, eyeglasses or the neighbor's phone number.
Yellow Decor: Yellow does well watered down greatly with white for walls. If a room receives little or no sunlight, the soft yellow walls help make the room bright. Yellow sings arias as a splash of accent in pillows, vases and other accessories. Yes, one grand chair or sofa upholstered in yellow and piped in blue can be smashing. Yellow also would be a good color for a workout room, particularly if aerobics were involved. It's also a good color for a game room, study or office because it helps to keep you attentive. A yellow bathroom will take the chill out of the air.
Orange is HOT
As most of you know by now I've been trying to pick a color to paint my family room and have my mind set on an Orange similar to that of terra cotta pot. I want the room to be light but slightly bright with a texture on the wall. I was just doing some reading online when I came across this article. I found it pretty interesting that there is a board of color experts that meet to decide on what the new color trend it going to be ... LOL. I have noticed that yellow and greens tamed down and orange had been popping up all over the place. I have always loved the color of orange because it reminds me of the sunset and that is one of my favorite times to look at the sky. I've always wanted to paint the Inside of my house green or yellow if I ever got the chance and I have that. I just thought it would be nice to do some research on paint colors and techniques till I decided on my final choice. I know its only paint and I can always change it, but I want to love it and leave it up for a few years or longer. Last night was a fun trial and error for us when we started painting Mianna's room. I get off work in 2 1/2 hours and I can't wait to go to the house and check out how the color in her room has dried and what it looks like in the day light. In the mean time I'll be checking out the Venetian plaster by BEHR. We used all BEHR paint for Mianna's room. Check out the website, they have this awesome tool to help you create a room. I also just purchase this online tool that also helps with room design, but I have yet to use with with my digital pics. I'll try to take more pictures of the house today. Soon Ill post more of my decorating ideas.
Our formal dining room
Our dining room I am still trying to come up the color for this room, but it will be the same as the formal living room. These are the first rooms you see as you walk in the front door. We will probably paint it last.
HAPPY NEW YEAR
We just watched the ball drop in New York (on tv of course) We should be there next year in 2006.

Painting Mianna's Room
After moving all our stuff out of storage with our friend Merrandas truck. We headed over to Whata Burger to eat a late lunch and then off to Home Depot. We loaded up on all the paint and supplies to paint Mianna's room. It took us 4 hours to complete the project and I had to run back to Home Depot since I messed up on the paint calculations :0( but we got all the paint we needed and had so much fun painting as we listend to a rock channel on the radio. Mianna's room looks so good, but we will add crown molding to give it a more finished look.

Closing
WE DID IT! We closed on our house today and we are official owner of a brand spankin new home!!!!!!!!! whooooooooo hoooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! Our first Mortgage is due on Feb 1st. Tonight when I get off work in about 2 hours we will probably run down to the house and check it out and see if our keys all work. We got the keys and I must say it feels so good. I have been so giddy and excited all day that I showed everyone at work my keys. The builders gave us a pizza coupon and a 2 litter of Pepsi. Rich said he will pick me up and we an go celebrate with a bottle of champange and stawberries. I don't know if the power is still turned on at the house, but we have to get it all transferred over into our name. We will spend the day tomorrow, just painting Mianna's room and maybe shopping around for a fridge and doing a little bit of legwork to get the power and water turned on in our name. We still have the apartment until Feb. But that gives us plenty of time to move. Oya, we will be moving the stuff out of our storage unit that we have been paying 63 bucks a mont for the past 4 months. Now we can actually use our grill and lawn mower. We only had a pay a small amount at closing but NO closing coast were due for us. They builders payed it all it was well over 12,000. Thank goodness they payed it all. Our realator Pat Leroy is just the best. He told us that we made a good investment and should make well over 150,000 when we go to sale our house in 5 years. I'm so excited guys!!!!!!!!

Final walk through
Well guys we made it out to the house today to do our final walk through and we were shocked to see that lot of stuff was not yet done. The thing that scared me the most was that I walked into the family room to find two guys on there knees sawing holes into the drywall right at the kitchen bar. When we did our initial walk through we had found that our kitchen had no power to any of the outlets. The guys there were cutting holes into the drywall to get to the wires behind it to find out what was causing the power failure. They found out that a nail or a piece of wood was jammed into the wire and had split it. They fixed it, but the guy had told me that a little piece of nail or wood, could have sparked a fire that could have burned down the house. O MY GOD>you can just imagine the look on my face. I was thinking,O man ..... Mean to tell me the house could have burned down before we even got to move into it. I'm still skeptical on our close tomorrow since the house looked half finished, but I sure hope they pull off a miracle tomorrow and have every thing done. There is nothing major, just small minor touchups and caulking that needs to be done. But now we have power to our kitchen and they will have to patch up the drywall and sand and repaint it. I sure hope they get it all done in time. The outside of the house needs a good power wash and also the inside needs to be cleaned up before we move in. I will not be happy if this is not all done by tomorrow. I wonder how they expect us to want to close on a house that is not complete and not clean. Shoooots. But you know I'm just too excited to have the keys in my hands. We have already changed our renters insurance over to home owners insurance and I must say that had a nice ring to it. Rich was was one resposible for making all the phone calles and doing all the leg work yesterday. I'm so proud of him, he said he had to call the fire deferment and the post office and the post office didn't even know the last 4 digits to our zip code because our neighborhood is so brand new. But he had to call the main office in Tampa I think it was and they had the complete zip for him. Well guys, cross your fingers for us and I hope this all goes well tomorrow.
Could I be blondE? OOPS I can't spell too
Okay so today I got up late at around 9am and jumped in the shower. I was thinking about how exciting it will be to go see the house all finished and ready for us to move in... I have enough info to fill anther titled blogg, but for right now let me keep to my Blond moment I had today. I got out the shower and oiled down as ususal and then I put on my undies and then back in the bathroom for my makeup and hair. I got my sweater on on and sat down on the bed and proceeded to put on my shoes and then Rich came home from work. I walked in the bathroom only to realize that my reflection in the mirror was so shocking. I had my sweater on and my shoes on , but I had forgot to put on my pants. Rich just looked at me and said " I like that look". I started busting up at my self with a little bit of winning I'm my laughter. This has got to be my best blonde moment, I'm not sure what I was thinking this morning but I sure got a good laugh out of it and that woke me up. I put on boots that took about 3 minutes to lace up and so I had plenty of time to think about pants...... but my mind was else where. LOL. I'm too funny!!!!!!!
I love this room
Okay that is a perfect picture of the way I want my family room to look. I even want that color on my walls. I know in about a year, I'll be ready to paint again, but for now I'm in love with the warm vibrant oranges. I have got to get to this showroom here in Jax's , ehehhehe. I don't care much for that sectional, but I like the other accents in the room. Oya, the lamps are to 50-60's for me, eheheh. O my god, that table looks like it's going to take off, OKAY , but the color on the walls and the window, really give me a good look at what my room will look like when we paint and the floor is almost like ours. I better go to bed now, we do our final walk through later on today and I'm so excited to see my home again. I'll take more picture of course. I would like the secional I picked the first time, below this article............yeah that one, in this room here above.
Family Room
I've never been a big fan of sectionals, but I like this one. I think it will look good in our family room. That rug also has all the color I like and would compliment the paint colors I plan on using in the family room

1st. Christmas in FL
I love this card Rich made for Mianna.
Rich and I were up all day Christmas Eve and at midnight we were still up wrapping and setting up last minute gifts for Mianna. We got Mianna a computer for x-mas and a few other small items as well. Rich got US our HOUSE for X-mas and so I wasn't expecting him to get me a gift, but he did. I got an Ann Klein diamond watch bracelet and it's so pretty. The bracelet is made of my favorite pearls with a mother of pearl face and a real diamond at 12 o clock. We got Rich some clothes from Abercrombie and Mianna go him a poker game for the PS2. Mianna made me a Christmas plate that is just so cute. This was a real nice first X-mas in FL. Rich got up early this morning and baked a ham. We were invited over to my friend Merranda's house to eat X-mas dinner with her family and some new friends that just moved here from Hawaii. We ate turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, mash potatoes, gravy and ham. For dessert we had cranberry apple casserole, pumpkin pie, apple pie and pecan pie. Every thing turned out so good and I even helped with the gravy and potatoes. After dinner we played a fun word definition guessing game that just had us busting up. Merrands husband Steve was the winner. Mianna kept her self busy with 2 cats, the dog Biscuit and Merrands two kids Sadie and William. We will try and have the next gathering for super bowl/house warming at our house next.
Addictive
Okay now I'm just so addicted to this program and I can't seem to stop. Our dining room is the first room on the left as you walk in the door and it has white trimmed wainscoting like in this picture. Also my dining room chairs are real similar to what is pictured above. I was just trying to get more ideas on paint color. I do want the entire living space to flow as far as color hue, I'll stay in the same Hue, but I will use a different color for the family room. The formal dining and living room will most likely be the same color and both have white Berber carpet. The family room and kitchen are both Prego laminate wood flooring.

And yet another color
I picked this living room set up because the couch is real similar to our couch color and the flooring in here is real close to what we have.
Paint colors
We went out to luch at one of our favorite spots for sushi at KoKo's. After eating we ran over to Home Depot and looked at paint colors and it took Mianna about 5 minutes to decide on a color for her room. She picked a Bayou color and this is what her room will look similar too.
For the living room we are still undecided, but I would like a sunset orange color. I found several ideas that we all like. We will also paint the celing the same color tone but just a few shades lighter to keep that airy and tall feeling. our ceilings are vaulted and go to more that 10 feet at some points.
that is our actual living room and I tryed to paint it in photoshop
Our nook
here is a sample from the Behr website.
Back in my Sep. Blogg I posted a few pictures of the sunset here and that is the color orange I want to paint my living area in.
Color Tips From The Pros
1. Deliberately set out to create a mood with color.
Active colors include yellow, orange and red. These hues work well in social and entertaining rooms. They make a positive, inspiring statement with their energetic and upbeat attitude. Reds and oranges excite and invigorate. Lemon and golden yellows spark creativity and are excellent choices for home offices and kitchens.
I like this color too, it's not as bright as my first choice but it's still in the orange family, just a light hue
this next color is called Pumkin Butter
Okay I'm in love with this one and the name is cool too. Hawaiian Passion
This one might blen a little too much with our floor, but the color is called Iced Tea

Daybeds
I was trying to find some type of seating arrangement for my formal living area, and I'm in love with this daybed. I would like to use it as a seat more so than a bed, but at the same time I would be able to use it as a bed if we had some extra guest over and it would be just perfect. I also like the day beds from Pottery Barn, but this one from The Bombay Company is much nicer and cheaper. I will also make the formal living area house a wine cabinet. Today we will go shopping for paint and tile. I came up with the ides to add a mosaic back splash to our kitchen. The painting will be our priority since we want to have it done before we start moving furniture into the house. I want a real soft suede looking paint finish in the living areas and then some thing unique to the kitchen and bedrooms. The living areas and hallway will all get the same color to make it look uniformed. Mianna has decided on a blue for her room. I'm torn between a sunset orange that is really light in color or a soft green for the entire living space. I'll probably have my self with paint samples up to ears tomorrow. This takes me back to the time I was having my couches custom made and I had tons of fabric lying around the house for weeks. Oya, we do plan on a reupholstering our couches, Thank goodness I bought quality couches that have stood up to the test of time. The Navy has done some damage to my poor couches and I'm still holding my breath on getting the money for the repairs.

Florida weather
Last week was really cold here in Florida and we even had a few days were the temps dropped into the low 20's and few pipes broke becaue it was so cold. I had a few callers at work that need to go to the lodge becuse of busted pipes here in Florida. Today it's so beautiful and warm.
Thursday began with some rain showers that will last for most of the morning into the early afternoon. By mid-afternoon the rain will end and the clouds will move out so expect to see that sunshine before the day is over. It will be another warm day with highs in the low 70s.
Skies will become mostly clear for the night with cool air moving in. Overnight lows will fall into the low to mid 40s with winds from the northwest.
Tonight I get off of 9 and I'm looking forward to going to the movies with Rich and Mianna to see Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events

Temps in the 20's
A blast of very cold air will begin arriving during Sunday evening making for a frigid and blustery start to Monday morning. Temperatures will read in the 20s, but they will feel more like the teens. This could be some of the coldest air yet this season!
It was very cold out at the lake while we ate dinner and watched the light parade. It snowed here in jax about 15 years ago and it could happen again this year. I actually had to put on thermals, hat, scarf and gloves this past week because of the
cold.

Light Parade
We drove out to Mandarin this afternoon to the Sears Outlet to find a refrigerator. We found several good deals and will most likely buy a fridge in a few weeks. After that we took a look around Books-a-Million and got some paint and decorating ideas from a few Florida books. We decided to try and eat dinner at Clarks seafood, but when we got there they didn't have what we wanted on the menu, so Mianna and Rich ate the oysters and then we left and went to Whities Fish Camp. When we got there we were shocked to see such a huge crowd. As we got out of the car this lady that was leaving next to us, said that there was a light parade going on and good luck with trying to eat dinner. We had fun just watching all the decorated boats as they went along the river. There was this one boat that was decorated with all the Shark Tales characters and had a bubble blower. There were so many cool boats but that was the best. Whitie's puts on this boat parade every year and they also have a contest between the boats for first place. They also raise money for a woman and children charity by raffle tickets for 10 bucks and the prize is a 24,000 boat. We ate a good dinner and had a perfect seat outside on the dock, so we could see the light parade going on. I was just sad that I didn't have my camera with me. I really need to get into the habit of taking that thing with me. Today I had decided to use my smaller coach bag, and it was already full with junk. ehehheeh. Next time I need to bring the big one for sure and carry my dang camera with me. We also walked down on the pier to get a closer look at the boats that were in dock.

First walk through
Well guys, we did our first walk through and the house looked really good. We only had 11 small issues for them to repair, but they are very minor. Lots of caulking to do and a few touch up paint jobs. The sprinklers and misters all work well and most of the outlet switches worked. Our house will get one last final walk trough on the 29th and then we close on the 30th and will get our keys and start moving in. The garage just seemed so big to me because we have never had a side-by-side 2-car garage. When we lived in SD we had a 2-car garage, but it was the type where you had to pull in behind the other car. We also found out from our neighbor that a tree fell on our house during the last two hurricanes. I talk to Jill from Armco and she said that was true and they would provide us with a letter for proof that that indeed did happen and that there was minimal damage and they made all repairs. There was no damage to the inside of the house, but only to the exterior wall of our bedroom. The down tree is still in the preserve behind our house, but they will remove it. I worry about next year, when we have hurricanes, since we live so close to the preserve and have so many trees in the backyard, but we will stock up on plywood to protect our big windows. I was talking to a caller the other day that lives in south FL and was hit hard by both Frances and Charlie and he has USAA, and they covered every last time of damage and even to his car. I'm so glad we have USAA. They are the best insurance company.

Walk through
O my goodness this is it. I just got off the phone with the builders and we scheduled closing for Dec 30th and tomorrow is our walk through at 11am. I'm so excited. This is really happening. We just found out that we do have to give the apt. 60 day notice, so we will be paying rent for Jan and 1/2 of Feb. That really sucks, but o well. Our first mortgage is due Feb 1st. I'm just so excited and ready to GO!!!! I can't wait to turn on that fireplace and just relax by it and look out at our beautiful view. Happy Happy Happy!!!!!
New home accent
Hayleigh got this for me in Hawaii. I can't wait to put it up in our new home because we have white Berber carpet. Hey Ingrid I bet that looks familiar... Hmmmmm.

Best X-Mas gift ever!
Today at work we had our secret Santa gift exchange and our before x-mas dinner. My friend Merranda cooked an awesome turkey and I bought Virginia baked ham. You know it's my favorite because it's named after me. LOL ehehhehe. We also had green bean casserole, stuffing, sweet bread, mash potatoes and gravy. For deserts we had chocolate cake in the shape of Santa, pumpkin pie and my favorite pecan pie. For drinks we had several different types of cider and Celines famous frozen coke, the reason it's famous is because Celines always forgets about it in the freezer here at work and it's all frozen when she goes to get it out.
I got up early this morning and ate breakfast with Mianna but after that I talked her into riding her bike to school so I could jump back in the bed. I was still sleepy since I had went to bed at 1:30 and got up at 5:30. I fell back to sleep at 8 and got up at 10. I had to run to Super WalMart to get the ham for the party and then I ran home to cut it up and get it ready for work. I also ran down to our new home to turn in some paperwork and then take some pics of the outside of the house. I will post them when I get home. I'm at work now just killing time and day dreaming about how its going to be when we move into our new home. I still can't believe we bought a house today. We still have to close, but that will be before the end of the month and We hope to move in before x-mas. I'm not sure how I'm going to move the x-mas tree, but I really would love to save it and put it up in the formal living room so that it's the first thing you see when you walk in the door. I must say this is the best Christmas present EVER! I signed all the loan papers today and it was kind of nerve racking to see all them $$$ signs. Wow, we will be living in a home worth a quarter of a million bucks :o) that just sounds too crazy. I haven't even called my mom to tell her the news. Every time I try her house the phone just rings and rings with no answer. I did call Erin and Ingrid and Davina. I talk to Pinky in North Carolina last night and told her. But I think we still have yet to tell Richie's parents and mine. Most of you online that read my bloggs know now I suppose. I'm just so dang happy. I hope it all works out and we really like living in our small town of green cove. I read all about the history of the town and it's pretty neat. Check out this link to read more. We almost have a home
I went to meet with Debbie at Hickory Knolls and I looked at a few more models to see if I liked them, but none of them were as pretty as the one Rich first fell in love with. We have decided to go with the house across the street from the one I wanted, and I must say it was my 2nd choice and I'm happy we are making it our home. YUP we will sign the papers again tomorrow and this time we are using another company that was able to give us a 5.5 on a VA 0/0. That APR is pretty average and so we were comfortable with it and locked it in today. I hope this all goes well and we can move in after all the inspection and maybe move in before X-mas. It is so cold here in FL today; I had to keep warm in my thick sweater, hat gloves and boots. Our home has a fireplace and right now is the perfect weater to use it. Click the title above to see the house. I will post pictures as soon as I can becaue the batteries for my camera are dead.
Location Location Location
Okay, so we were approved for the loan and we know how much of a house we can buy now. We really don't want to have that high of a house payment and so I'm going back to the neighborhood today and I will look at a few more models and maybe just maybe, we will go with the house that Rich first fell in love with. The payment on that house will be a little less than the two story I wanted and the difference is on ly 75 sq ft. Not much differenct in size, but they payments would be a lot less. HELP> ehehhehe. It will be so hard to live accross from the house I know I was in love with :o(. Or all together we might just give up and look around some more.

Good Credit
Well guys, the out is that we were approved for the loan on our dream home. I have excellent credit and my FICO score was much higher that Richie's and he was joking about not talking to me for having a better score, but together we really have excelent credit and they approved us for 234,000 for that house, but we decided that the payments would be a little too much for us, since we also plan on buying a new car after we buy the house. Tomorrow I will go back to the neighborhood and look at a few more models and we might just go with our second choice. The house that Richie really fell in love with is only 217 and we might try and go for that one. I do love the view and the many bay windows in that house. It was such a nice feeling to know that we have good credit and could be approved for such a good amount. If I was making more money a year, I would feel more comfortable with the payments of 1800 a month. So for now I'll keep you all posted.

9 days
Well guys, we got up early this morning and got ready to meet with the builders and our realtor at 11am. We took one last look at both houses and it was hard to choose but we ultimately went with the two story. We went back to the model home to sing all the paper work and put our offer in for 232,000. The house should really sale for 236,000 and if it wasn't going to sale this week, he was going to raise the price to 240,000 and so that makes me think that the house is really worth more that what we might get it for. Cross your finger and hope that every thing goes well. We will be talking to the finance people tomorrow and our realtor is also a broker so if we have no luck with their finance company we can always go with our realtor at Watson. We will try to get this house for the least amount of payment that they will give us and maybe even do an interest only loan or a convetional 30 year fix. We really only plan to live in it for 5 years and the rent it out or sale it and move again. I guess I was so excited I forgot to take pictures of the house, but if it all goes smoothly we will be in the house in 9 days. YUP before X-mas and we will have to move our x-mas tree to the new home, how funny. But it would be so nice to be in our new home for x-mas and maybe even light up the fireplace, it has been so cold here the past 2 days with the temperatures as low as the 30's and 40's. Today is such a pretty sunny day but very chilly out. I just can't get over the fact that we signed the contract on our home and could be moving in 9 days.

Portal Potty God
Well guys, the day after the x-mas part was kind of ruff on me. I must have had a little food poisoning with dehydration mixed in and needless to say I was on the toilet most of the afternoon. I took a couple hour nap and then woke up to pick Mianna up from school. I thought I was all better and so we decided to drive out to Green Cove to get the red car registered, but we had left one important piece of paper work at home. Despite our drive out to the cove, we had decided on going to check out the neighborhood that our realtor Pat Leroy had suggested to us. We stopped in Hickory Knolls Estates and as we drove around we were just marveled by the houses. All of a sudden my stomach starts to bubble and I break out in a hot flash and begin to sweat," O my god". I told Rich " I need the bathroom now, so as we turned this one corner I screamed stop!!! Right in the middle of the street was a blue portal potty. O my god I was in heaven and I couldn't get into that thing any faster. I almost had a near accident that would have been so fatal to all of us in the car. What or How in the world, was my prayers answered, was just so baffling to me. I walked out of the portal potty with a big old smile on my face and I really didn't want to go too far from it, but we drove around a little more and I found the house I liked. Today we got up at 10:30 and met with our realtor to go shopping around for houses. The first one he took us to was just across the street from his house and it was nice with the biggest yard I have seen in Jax. O man that yard was just so huge. You have to sit on a sit down lawn mower just to cut that grass. After that we ran around to many more models and then fell in love with this 5 bed, 3 baths home and thought for sure we had found our home. Mianna was already making plans to sleep in the bonus room above the garage. The outside of that house was made with seashells and it was actually pretty looking. But after we went into this all brick house, we had changed our minds again, and this was that first house of the day to make me say WOW, it's such a pretty home with a huge yard, big enough to put a pool. After we left that area, we drove in to Green Cove and went to Hickory Knolls Estates and finally I was going to see the house that I thought I would fall in love with, and yes, the minute we walked in, I did the WOW and was in love with it. Tomorrow we will sign some papers and get things started on buying the house. Our realtor was able to bring the price down 5000 bucks for us. I believe the house is about 230,000. It doesn't have a huge yard, but I think it's a perfect size to enjoy some backyard fun and it backs up to a natural preserve that will never be built on and so we will not have neighbor on the back of us. We will have neighbor on both sides of us and some across the street too. This community is very small and I believe it is less than 100 homes in the neighborhood, but a few still need to be built. We fell in love with this model called the Hickory III, take a look at it. I think the portal potty was a sign and one really funny story for me to tell. The house is brand new and ready for us to move into in a few days if all goes well. We did pay for rent this month ,but we can be out of this apartment before X-mas and have that in our new home in front of the fireplace. ehehehhe. cross your fingers for us. The resale value on this house is going to be out of this world, well not as good as resale in SD, but good enough for FL. After all that running around, we went to see Oceans Eleven and that was a good movie.

AIMD Christmas Party
Last night we went to Richie's AIMD X-mas party and it was so nice. It was at the Adams Max Hotel in downtown Jaxs and this place was so huge. There were several X-mas partys going on, that we had to follow the signs to our party. When we got there, people were already in line to get food. We found a table to sit at and then went to the bar to get our drinks. The ball room was decorated in gold green and red colored baloons with special engraved wine glasses with the AIMD insignia on them. We made sure to take our glasses home. The DJ played such good music , but with over 800 people at the party you can imagine how crowed the dance floor was. We opted to stay at the table and mingle with folks. Eveyong on the dance floor was doing the electic slide, to every single song. The night was filled with so much fun and then the suspence of the number calling for the drawing and the big winners of the night was the last ticket called for a 50 inch TV. We were not lucky that night, but lots of rio MP3 players, and george forman grills and other small tv's and DVD players were given away. I hear that last year the big give away was a cruise to the bahamas. People were really dressed up nice and lady's had there hairs DID and nails done. It was so nice to meet and see eyeryone. After the part we headed to a club called Christophers and we were in for a treat when we got there. It was actually gay night and when we walked in there were drags performing on the dance floor and it was so cool. I danced with Tiffany all night and Rich played pool and hung out with his friend. That is by far the most fun thing we have done in Jaxs. I'll have to tell you the rest of the story when we get back. but click on the title to view the pics, I didn't take too many.

We have the X-mas party on Thursday and I'm looking forward to going to that. I still have no idea what I'm going to wear but I think I want to buy a fur shall or shrug to accent my dress and keep my shoulders warm. I'm kind of planning and off the shoulder dress or maybe a strapless with some nice tall heals and lots of bling bling. eheheheh. O, I can't forget to go shopping for cute evening bag. :o) NO I'm only joking. I will find a bag in my closet...... NO more bags for me. Yeah, 15 minutes to go and I'm out of this ice box, it's so dang cold in here today.
Intelligence Overhall
19 hijackers on September 11 had more than 60 licenses between them as a reason for the provision.
I just finished reading the article on CNN, on how they will pass this new bill to give our intelligence reorganization. What or why in the hell would it take this long to pass such an important bill for some MUST needed overhall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some times people in congress really do need a clue!!!!!!!!! Freaking aliens allowed to get all them dang licenses to be able to attack us on our own soil. This country can be so dang backwards I sware. I guess you can tell I'm on an all politcal feel today. I'm at work and I have 40 more minutes to go, just catching up on some world news.

USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6)
Now I know why everyone was calling to book rooms for December 5 and 6th in San Diego. I'm glad my hubby is not on deployable status any more. I do hate sea duty and having him home everyday on shore duty is THE BEST!. I love you Richie boy and thanks for being such a strong support to have gone trough all that blood and sweat to serve your country. I know being on a ship is not as bad as being on land, but just the fact that your loved one is gone for 1/2 a year at a time or more is really the pitts. I do pray for all the soldiers out now and some of our family members and friends that are in the gulf. It would be nice if all this madness could end. We need Peace
Real life Desperate Housewives
My friend here at work just finished telling me about her evening last night and this is what went down. She said that there was a bunch of police and fire trucks on her street and they were pretty close to her brother-in-laws house, so she headed down the way to check it out, since she lives on the same street. It was her brother-in-law sitting on the curb and he had hand cuffs on. She was trying to ask her brother-in-law if the kids and his wife was okay, but the cop was so dang mean and told her to step away. She got a little fed up with the cop and decided to go back down the street to her house. Well later on the next day she got a collect call from her brother-in-law and he was calling from jail. He was calling to ask to get bailed out. Her and her husband come up with 720.00 buck on a credit card and a two hour wait to process his release. She says she was not real sure what had happen last night but that her brother-in-laws wife is a crazy lady. She is always drunk and addicted to pain killers. So she said that they got into a big fight and she called the cops on him. He pleaded not guilty but was still arrested and this same situation happened last year, but it was a reverse roll with the sister-in-law being arrested this same time last year. I told my co-worker that she has her own real life desperate housewife on her block. toooooooooooo funny.

Tree and Ornaments
Here are a few picture of the new ornaments we added to our tree this year. I also put up a few new and old decorations around the house to get into the spirit of X-mas. I hope to decorate the lanai with lights as well. It's the thing to do when you live in an apartment. I also put up my dollar snowman on the front door.
Cook Out
Today we went to Sams Club for the first time and did some serious shopping for the cook out. Rich has a few boys that are leaving AIMD, and so they planned this cook out weeks ago. First off we ran with one of his friends to Sams Club to get few things, and I was not impressed at all. I will keep to Costco for my bulk shopping because Sams Club was really small and they didn't have a lot of brands we use. After shopping we ran to the Nex and played with the new lip glosses by LancĂ´me and a few by Estee Lauderdale and I think I'll have to stop by the NEX on my way to work tomorrow and pick up a few for the X-Mas party this week. I still have no idea what I'm going to wear to this thing. It's going to be at some really nice hotel, downtown Jax's so I'm excited to go and check that out. After we left the NEX we went to look at a house around the street from Mianna's school that's for sale. It was nice and big and had a really pretty color carpet, but I was not that impressed with it. This guy that lives in it is a pilot and he is leaving to Pensacola. He has a really cute daughter named Tia and he is divorced. With just one kid and that big old house with 4 bedrooms 2 baths, it seemed too big for them. The house had some really nice features, but it's still not my Panama. I had to tell Rich, "I'm still in love with my Panama home and I want it. That house we looked at was going for 220 and the Panama is going for a little less and it's a two story but just a little smaller than the one by Mianna's school. Anyways, we will look at more, but I think we need to put a hold on the lot for the Panama just in case we do not find one we like. Our realtor gave us a listing today and only one stood out from the rest, it has a pool and it's actually pretty cute on the inside, but I have to go see it in person to know if I like it or not. Okay I'm not sure how I got off the subject, but after we looked at the house we ran to Richie's friend apartment and it over looks Lake Ortega. I tell you the one thing I love about FL is all the lakes we have and all the bridges. This place is just awesome. I still think I want to live her for a while. I really love the weather, and low 70's are not bad for the daytime in December. ehehehheeh. o man this is the life for sure. I sure hate the cold and the snow. I don't mind taking a vacation to the mountains once in awhile and visiting the snow, but I sure never want to live in it or near it. I would rather retreat to the hot humidity. I love humidity. Most people hate it but I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To me it's home I'm a true islander girl. I grew up on an Island just because I've left the island, doesn't mean the islands have left me. When we lived in Hawaii I was in Heaven and I really liked it better than my Island of Guam, but Florida is just like being on the islands, but with more room to venture and seasons that are mild and comfortable. I do like dressing up in my sweaters and boots and beanie hats. Today I had on my new poorboy VS sweater and Abercrombie hat with my new nice west boots. I was styling in my new duds. ehehhehe. I bough over 150 bucks from VS (Victoria's Secrets) online and got a free $150.00 weekend bag. This bag is so huge and just perfect for travel. I'll be adding that to my bag collection in the closet. I swear I have been on a bag binge lately. But no more bags for a while I have over 7 new bags...........ehheehhe I know I know. I'm bad. You should have seen how I feel in love with this bustier bag in payless shoe store and Rich gave in and got it for me. Knowing that I had just bough 4 coach bags and he was with me when I was going coach crazy. ehehhehe. I went shopping yesterday with Mianna and we were on the hunt for Richie's X-mas gift. I'm so sad, because they ran out of it and now I have to buy it online. I got a towel warmer at Bed Bath and Beyond and took a brows in Pier One. I have a gift card to that place, so one day I will have to buy stuff for the new house. I think I'll try to hold on to the card. I also got a gift card to my other favorite store, Pottery Barn. I did find the cutes snowman candle and I still have to go back to return some wine glasses because Rich didn't like them. I will buy some thing else for the house, since Richies wants crystal wine glasses. I'll tell you this boy is just as picky as me when it comes to house stuff. But he does like the way I decorated the kitchen table and coffee table for X-mas. I'll post some pics for you all to see. O man I'm off to work tomorrow, but it's okay because i will have a short week and we off on Thur, Fri and Sat. Whooooooooo hooooooo. I will make up for it in the xtra pay I got for working on Thanksgiving. It's still so hard working and I miss Mianna the most but we are loving my new scedual of having Fri and Sat off. We have time to be a family again. Right now Rich is still at the cook out, we come home to walk Duke and Rich is playing poker with the boys. Thank goodness he is playing with chips and not for real money. ehehhee. He did that last night and it was for real money, and this poker house he loves to go to in St. Augustine. I really wish we could buy a home out there, but not now while he is working on base. Maybe when he retires we can sale our home and move to St. Augustine. I really like that town, it's so cute and so close to the beach. Okay, my shoulder is killing me, I do enough typing at work and I just pulled a muscle this past 3 days I've been in so much pain. I better go and rest my arms. Talk to you all soon.
